What's wrong with my cat?

We had 3 cats. Steel was the oldest and most quiet. Big Orange is just there and Little Orange gets into everything.

DS left for basic training the first of September. Right after that Little Orange took to lying at the end of my bed all day every day. This lastest about 3 weeks. We figured he realized DS was gone and was maybe depressed but what can we do.

Then Nov. 1, Steel passed away. I noticed shortly after that, that Little Orange was always in my closet. He's never been in there before. He would come out long enough to eat or use the bathroom and go right back in. And we wouldn't actually see him come out that often, but we knew he was.

Well, yesterday I finally saw him come out of the closet, so I ran in and closed the closet door before he could get back in. He's now mad. For the first hour or so he let me know he was mad. He stood and the closet door and meowed at me. When I went to anothe room, he came in there and "yelled" some more, so I got up and followed him, he took me to the closet door where he "yelled" again.

Now I can't find him again. He's found a new hiding spot and I don't know where it is. I've looked in all other closets, the kitchen cabinets, under stuff, around stuff. I can't find my cat.

Is he depressed and what can I do for him? TIA
