Just curious. DH just reminded me that he took our kids school vacation week off from work (first time!). Now I'm trying to come up with some ideas of things to do. I am pondering the idea of a trip to Washington DC. (But it would have to be short and cheap, as the vacation fund is still depleted from WDW this past January!). But I'm curious how the crowds will be around the Northeast. I know my kids school usually take Feb vacation a week after most of the surrounding towns and MA schools. But I'm not sure how April compares to the rest of the area. My kids vacation is Saturday, April 23rd thru Sunday, May 2.

Please let me know. I'd also welcome any suggestions of things to do (we usually visit Boston several times a year to do the aquarium, children's museum, and science museum). Thanks.....P

I think that's the same week as most of NH. We have people at 3 different NH schools in our house and all have that same week off (different districts too). I also think that's the week after Mass, and most of the other New England states. So aside from dealing with other NH kids there shouldn't be too much of a problem.

SW Florida and ours are out this coming week.
Last day of school is May 28th and they just announced that the 1st day of school next year will be August 8th!

Catholic School- April 9-19. Spring/Easter vacation.

April 9 - 18 ~ they go back on the 19th.:Pinkbounc

No time off in April. Our spring break week is next week, March 22-26.

For those who don't have any days off in April....you don't have ANY days off around Easter?

I think most of Ma. is off from 4/19-4/23. My school district is also closed on Good Friday.

I live outside Philly and ours is 4/5 - 4/12. We are leaving for DW on the second, yep taking the boys out the last day of school before break and coming back 4/10.:wave2:

The Ny metro area is either the week before or after easter. How about Mystic , ct and things in ct. There is the aquarium, mystic seaport, the trolley museum, I cant remember where that is, gillette castle etc. Its a little closer to home than dc. Enjoy your vacation.
