Really??

Stir the pot elsewhere. :stir:

Oh im stirting the pot? Lol here you all are saying "I cant believe Disney would play this sort of thing!" And you cant even comprise that oh hey we only heard from op in their original post about a controversal matter and you dont even question? No sir, im not stirring the pot, im using common sense. And btw high and mighty dont work on me.

Idk after all these responses and not one feedback from op, sounds like a bait to me. No matter how long op has been around

Sorry that I've been too busy enjoying MK (including a great lunch at BOG) and brief periods between storms in the hot tub to respond to your every post. Ill probably not be back tonight if the weather holds so that I can enjoy Stormalong bay... if that's ok with you...

Perhaps because we're familiar with the OPs reputation for making helpful and informative posts.

Agreed I do.. my day off.. so maybe on your bus ride you can fill us in.. are we correct that you stated the radio edit was broadcasted? And exactly when this song was played? Was it a block.party ? Was it at night? FilI. The gaps if you do not mind

I'd be the one grooving to the music and singing the lyrics out loud. Judge me if you want but Disney already screens the songs they play. If they were to refuse play a song because some people will find if filled with innuendo there would be NO songs playing at the parks because you can turn any lyrics around and make them sound dirty.

i don't think the argument is that this song has "innuendo." it doesn't. it's pretty much blatantly offensive. the writers of the song have said the lyrics were purposeful and intended to be degrading.

and, unless you have small children, you probably wouldn't be in the Disney JUNIOR area.

i wouldn't think twice if i heard it in a mall or a clothing store or elsewhere. i don't listen to it. i shelter what my kids listen to. but i wouldn't be surprised or upset to hear it elsewhere.

but Disney holds itself to a higher standard of being family-friendly.

Also I think it should be noted that OP was in DHS for EMH yesterday...at 11:00pm at night when this happened!! So, perhaps WDW has an "after-dark" playlist that might be different than the noon playlist?

I think you probably lose the right to demand purity music for the safety of your innocent child's ears after 10pm, IMO.

So, yes, I would have complained about lyrics like that playing in a family place. Disney won't let you in the park if you're wearing an offensive tshirt or have an offensive tattoo. Why not censor the music better?

I have heard this before and I still want to know...what exactly constitutes an "offensive" tatoo?!?!

Anyone know? Or is it entirely subjective and up to the individual CM?

What gaps? :confused3 She heard the regular radio (non edited) version from outside of the Disney Junior EMH dance party. There are no gaps in that information.

I have it on very good authority that DHS management has been made aware of the song in question and are looking into it to determine how it got into the Disney Junior mix. Since this is the first time anyone has mentioned something like this as part of the dance party, my guess is that it wasn't part of the mix that is put together by Disney, but rather a part of the DJ feed. Likely, the DJ was either not aware of the lyrics or didn't realize it was in his mix. I imagine the song will not be heard again in this venue (and I also imagine that the PTB will be taking a closer look at the DJ feed as a cautionary measure).

Now ... everyone breathe. :flower3:

Speaking of too much time on their hands, who interrupts their time at WDW (last night) to post to DIS about a song they heard in the park?

The rest of us are bored and at home...you're the one on vacation, yet still on Disboards...

See what I say about innuendo? IT is not what you are thinking, it's about her love. She says she's now ready to give him her love and if he wants it, to come and get it.

Agreed.

Yes, her "love". As in MAKING LOVE. Now who's being naive?

So does universal.. but I heard some racy stuff from there. Its not disney's stance to hold a higher standard in that regard, its ours. Its higher standards is based on entertainment and cleanliness. We are in a different time than 1967. Lots of things and values have changed

Can someone post the exact moment when that DJ gets fired for playing a song commonly on EVERY top-40 radio station at 11:00pm? Only then will true justice be done.

Yes I see that now. My mistake

It really is sad that people dont get it. Its not about their right to hear a trashy song, or someone who doesnt like it just being able to walk out of the area. Its about what is appropriate for the Disney Jr. area in a family themed park. The song clearly isn't, it is not filled with innuendo, the message is quite clear. As far as whether or not a child would get it, that doesnt matter because I'm pretty sure its not the child buying the ticket.
