What to do about MVMCP??

I'm planning on being in WDW from Dec. 3rd until Dec. 16th - with my grown DD and my little granddaughter (she'll be 5 then)..

I'm thinking that I really SHOULD buy tickets for MVMCP right now - but there's a remote chance that the trip could end up being cancelled (due to my DD's job) or at the very least, postponed.. Or - there's the possibility that I might end up going alone (shudder the thought and wouldn't make me real happy)..

I know I can't get a refund once I buy the tickets - but - should I go ahead and buy them now??

I'm just not sure what to do..

If I were in your position, I'd wait to buy the tickets. There are several parties scheduled during the time that you will be there, and so far, no one has reported that any of the dates are sold out. Historically, the Friday night parties sell out first. For the past several years, I don't remember reading about sold out nights until sometime in November.

My advice is to wait until either your plans are firm or until you read posts that some nights have begun to sell out (it'll probably be the Friday nights). I really, really, don't think you have to worry about all your possibilities selling out before you order the tickets. Last year, not all the nights sold out.

The last 2 years we waited until we got there to buy the tickets, Sunday or Tuesday nights. As long as you buy them before the day of the party, you will get the advance price. Last year we couldn't decide between Tuesday Dec 10 or Thursday Dec 12. When we checked in the Saturday before, both were available. The weather forecast was iffy for both days. We were going to wait for Thursday because Tuesday looked bad, but on Tuesday afternoon it cleared up and Thursday's forecast looked bad. So I went to the front desk and bought them for Tuesday night, had to pay the same day price. It was worth it because Thursday night was constant hard rain. I believe only Friday's sold out last year.

Thanks all! I was really concerned about this because I know it's something that we would all love..

I'll wait - and just keep an eye on these boards to see if folks start saying that certain dates are selling out..

I think I would wait too. We ordered ours not too long before the trip and were able to get them. I'd call when its closer though and ask if they are selling out
