It's 7:44a and 58 degrees with low humidity. Really nice out today should be in the low 70's.

it is 11:47am and a nice cool 64 degrees out. After the horrendous weather this weekend it feels nice.

Over the weekend, we had some record breaking heat throughout different parts of our state. Here in Santa Fe, we tied the record hitting 99 degrees. We usually average in the high 80's, low 90's. If this keeps up, we just might hit the 100 mark.

Yesterday we got back to normal at 92. Today is also supposed to be 92.

Currently at 11:49a, we are at 82.

Yes, Thumper, Mike called and said it was 100 degrees in Cimarron. He has been doing allot of hiking and it has been sooo warm. So funny to think when he got there 6 weeks ago it was sooo cold!!! He has a bad cold and went to the health lodge, the first thing they ask you do to is get weighed ... he has lost 22lbs since arriving on April 25th. YIKES! He still has 2 more months of intense hiking before leaving on August 1st!!!

Brett and I went for a ride on Sunday INLAND ... we left SD coastline and it was 72 degrees and as we traveled inland the temps went up and up and hit 97 degrees!!! :scared1: Man o man, it was HOT!!! :headache: Thankfully, CA never has any humidity to worry about.

11:21am in San Deigo. Bright sun, 72 degrees. :sunny:

It's 8:22a and 59 degrees, was 49 when I got up this morning. Cold but feels nice for a change, going to get in the low 70's again today.

it is 8:43am and a cool 62 degrees out. It has been so nice to open up windows again after a long hot couple of days.

9:06am in San Deigo. 68 degrees ... but dealing with that darn marine layer ... another words it is cloudy this a.m. :headache:

It's 1:56p and 69 degrees and partly cloudy, feels cool to me.

We totally skipped Spring here. We went from one extreme to the other. DW and I have to go back down to Southern New Mexico again in a couple of days. Down there, they're over the hundreds. Not really looking forward to this trip. If it wasn't for business, I wouldn't go.

Maybe I should get a job with your MIKE. Lord knows I can drop a few pounds. :lmao:

DW and I are planning a trip out to your neck of the woods next year. Looking forward to that cool ocean breeze as you describe.:cloud9:

All these cool temperatures. Now I'm jealous. Supposedly we're in for a cool down this weekend. I sure hope so.

2:13p in Santa Fe, NM. Currently 92 degrees. Another hot one.

luv, I have been there twice now in the last week and it looks to me like the seals all come up on the beach more in the afternoon ... in the morning they basically stay in the water ... so keep that in mind.

momrek06: Thanks for posting the pics of the beach and seals! Unfortunately, we didn't get around to seeing the seals. We were busy every minute and there was still plenty we didn't see in San Diego. Guess another trip is in order!:)

We LOVED San Diego! We spent time at La Jolla Shores, Del Mar, and a day at Coronado Island. We took Carter to the aquarium while is mom and dad went to the beach and we explored the area between Del Mar and Mission Beach. The weather was beautiful, and we especially enjoyed it since it's been in the hundreds in Tucson.

I absolutely fell in love with Coronado Island! My husband and I will definitely return and stay a few nights at "The Del"! Loved it!

Here are a few pics:

Love this pic of Carter. We ate at the Poseidon Restaurant in Del Mar one evening (very good food with seating overlooking the ocean) and Carter was getting antsy waiting for our food, so I took him down to the beach for a few minutes. You can see the outdoor seating behind him in the picture.

Carter and his mom on the beach in front of the Hotel Del Coronado. I could have spent the entire weekend right there!

Great pictures thanks for sharing, luvflorida!

Another cool one today, tomorrow should be even cooler with rain. I think it's fall:confused3

It's 9:32a and 62 degrees, when I got up it was 49 degrees out:eek:

Your right, NO SPRING for NM at all. Mike went from wearing a extra heavy duty sweatshirt to T's ...

You and DW will love San Diego, Thumper ... it really is a lovely part of Southern California. :sunny:

Ha! Ha! I guess we were thinking the same thing about Carter growing up! And yeah, even if we end up living on the west coast for the rest of our lives, we'll always be New Englanders at heart!

Is that 'marine layer' thing something that happens just in June or is it there other times of the year as well? We noticed every morning was overcast, but the sun always came out eventually. And when it did, the sun was gorgeous! We didn't miss the high temps that we left behind in AZ.

11:06am and 93 degrees, going for a high of 103 today. It goes without saying that the sun is out!:cool1:

We will too, luv, always be New Englanders at heart! :lovestruc Watching the CELTS last night in the Garden ... aaahhh ... so wished we were there. :sad1:

Well, the natives call it "June Gloom" where much of June mornings there is this marine layer that comes in on the coast early a.m. and is generally burnt off by noon. Today, it was about 11am when we started seeing the sun! Now it is shining brightly! :sunny:

It's 8:41a and 54 degrees with drizzle. That's ok we need the water, the lawns around here are starting to look like late August not June. Most are starting to burn/brown.
