YOU HAVE TO RIDE THE RADIATOR SPRINGS RACERS!!!! I am also not a fan of fast rides, but I was determined to ride RSR and I LOVED it! The ride has so much going for it! The special effects are amazing and the beginning of the ride is slow.
We're back from
Disneyland and I agree with you, Momrek06, Cars Land is fantastic!

I DID IT
LUV, I DID IT!!! AND I LOVED IT!!! Brett and I actually decided to do the 'single rider' line. MUCH QUICKER!!! Even though we could not ride together both times I got on it was within 40 minutes and I got on with people that had waited THREE HOURS …

!!!! BUT IT IS AWESOME, FABULOUS, AMAZING!!!! DISNEY DID FABULOUS WITH RSR!!!
Mike and Heather … OMG, you are going to LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
So I have been missing because we were in WASH DC as Brett had business there … June 22-July 1. OMG OMG OMG it was the WORST weather we have EVER experienced even with living my entire life in Boston.
It was HOT HOT HOT and HUMID HUMID HUMID. The days were 104. Yes they were. We tried so hard to sight see but that humidity was sooooo unhealthy. I do not know how people live in weather like that … it just was sickening. I am very thin and I thought I was going to faint so often. Brett and I had to go so slow. One time I just started to cry as we walked around the Capitol in the blasted sun with no shade and the heat and humidity raging. The natives were setting everything up for July 4th … I have NO clue how they could WORK in that weather that we could barely walk in.
We spent most of our times in museums. We had too. It was HORRIFIC outside. We were there for that BIG HUGE Friday night storm that whipped through WASH DC. My sister in Maine texted me that she had just seen the News and a storm was headed for DC for 10pm and make sure you are back in the hotel by then. Well we were out walking as night's were not as bad as days. We got back to our hotel and were sitting in the huge Lobby listening to Jazz from the lounge. WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN the trees outside started whipping around and blowing and bending in half … OMG, its starting … the storm …! We were at the 'W' in WASH DC and up on the ROOFTOP is a huge lounge for all the 30 somethings all coming in for some nightlife … well as the skies opened up, they all were SOAKED to pieces. Young ladies and men coming in dressed to the 9's … DRENCHED. Then the thunder and lightening … OMG … just a disaster.
Saturday morning (June 30) it was just as HOT as ever. This storm did not cool one thing off. The temps were 102 with a heat index of 106. OMG.
WE JUST WANTED BACK IN THE OC where the temps were in the 70's and no humidity.
July 1st we returned landed at LAX at noon and literally needed a lite sweater. YEAH!!!!
Last week, July 2-7th, I had a friend visiting and we did the Parks and she LOVED LOVED LOVED CARSLAND!!!!
POOH, I listen to WBZ every day here in CALI and the weather in New England sounds HEAVENLY. No humidity, comfy temps!!!!
9:27am Today is bright sun, lovely humidity-free day 71 degrees.
