What Rides/Shows Do You Always Skip?

Really, the only ones that I will skip (as in I will NOT be going on under any circumstances) are Mission:Space and the Tea Cups due to a low tolerance of being spinned around and such. Along with, I will not ride Stitch just on principle.

MK- Treehouse, Tom Sawyer, meet & greets, Riverboat

Epcot- Innoventions, Canada movie, China movie

MGM- Animation Tour, Sounds Dangerous, Playhouse Disney, Backlot Tour

AK- Camp Minnie Mickey

DD likes to get photos and autographs, but we do lots of Character meals for that- also MNSSHP (we're October people). I just hate standing in line forever to see characters.

Whether it's the Universe of Energy, Ellen's Energy Adventure... it's listed on the ABSOLUTELY AVOID list for our family! We did UoE on our first trip and fell asleep during the Exxon science class movie at the end. ;) We tried Ellen and didn't think it was much better.

STITCH!!!

Once was definately enough!!!! :earsgirl:

In Magic Kingdom we always skip the speedway...not gonna wait in a line that long for something I can walk faster than.
Not to mention there is a variation of it in every amusement park I've ever been to. No way I'm waiting in line to ride something that doesn't feel fresh.

what and where is the stitch ride ?

We skip Peter Pan and Snow White and Pooh @MK.

HISTA @ Epcot

Playhouse Disney @ MGM

AKL The Midway games

It's not a ride....it's an attraction...just something to watch.
It's across from Buzz Lightyear...Tomorrowland or Fantasyland?

Maybe Im the only one who like Stitch also......

No I like the Stitch "ride" as well - I just know now when to hold my breath. I think Stitch is the cutest!!

My list of won't dos include:

That big riverboat in the MK
Tomorrowland Speedway
Tom Sawyer's Island
Sounds Dangerous
Lights, Motors, Action Stunt Show

My list of done it, won't ever do it again includes:

Country Bears (shudder)
Primeval Whirl (ouch)
Backlot Studio Tour (snore)
Fantasmic! (too long of a wait for the weakest of the evening entertainments, IMHO)
Pocohontas and her Forest Friends...not if you paid me

I agree. Whew!

Stitch, Mission Space, Tough to be a bug and Honey I shrunk the audience are attractions that we've done once and haven't desired to do again for various reasons. We've never been to Sounds Dangerous because of the warning of darkness etc with the kids.

We don't always get to do everything everytime. This past trip we didn't get to do any shows at AK because we only had one day and we skipped many shows at MGM as well. We usually just play the day by ear and try to hit all the family favorites.

Tom Sawyer's Island, Backlot Studio Tour (Done it once; won't do that again), Winnie the Pooh ride (boring, no plot, and extremely pointless), Playhouse Disney (don't have kids), Body Wars (truely a boring ride), Rivgerboat, Swiss/Trazan Tree House, and that's all I can think of right now.

This is what I put in my trip report from November:

On the way we went into the Magic Kingdom and rode Stitch – ohmygod, the question one has to ask, is Why? Why would they make it, why would anyone not 13 years old actually go on it more than once? Seriously, it’s a travesty of Disney artistry and should be replaced immediately with something else, anything else. For those of you who haven’t ridden it, I am going to save you from yourselves and tell you exactly what happens in the ride. You sit down and are bolted in by bars heavier than that for the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, thus giving some poor slobs –like me- a false expectation of movement and/or fun actually happening during the next few minutes. You are given a glimpse of bad Stitch in the glass case they used for Alien Encounter and then all goes dark as Stitch runs around the room a few times, bouncing on your shoulder bars and belching in your ear twice. Then it’s over. Yup, that’s it. Trust me when I say that the shocked looks on the guests’ faces were not due to over-stimulation. And just so you don’t feel like I misled you, someone is going to tell you that the belches smell like Real Chili Dogs! And they do. You have to ask yourself if a boring and smelly experience really is better than a merely boring experience. :earboy2:

LOL! Gross and very accurate description. At least Alien Encounter was scary.

We skip-
-dumbo
-tiki room
-it's a small world
-stitch

Most of Disney Studios is skipped, Tarzan Rocks, and Dinosaur (did it once got really scared do not want to do it again)

oh wow, i think we will skip that also lol

Great Thread. I've been trying to plan our touringplan so we can see everything, (I'm not kidding. We have seven days of tickets and I want to see everything) but I know that's not going to happen, so I've been trying to decide what I should skip. The UG has everything rated, of course, but it's just not the same as getting real opinions from real people. :disrocks: :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar
