What Rides/Shows Do You Always Skip?

Fantasy Land. Now that we have no kids to take we avoid the area like the plague. They should rename this area stroller city. Its just too congested...smjj

Dumbo....we've never ridden it.
There is a Dumbo ride, right? :)

Tiki Room. Blech.

Jungle Cruise. Snore.

Treehouse. Ugh.

That's about it. Given how great Adventureland is in Anaheim, surprising how sucky it is in Florida.

Dumbo, Aladdin's Magic Carpets, Stich, Tiki Room, Country Bears, Tea Cups, Indiana Jones

Country Bears, Hall of Presidents, Tom sawyer island, Riverboat, Carouseul of Progress, Astro Orbitors, Speedway, Flights of Wonder, Sounds Dangerous, LMA, Animation Tour, Universe of Energy, HISTA

Don't really hate any of the above, we just never seem to get there (apart from HISTA because of my irrational fear of snakes ;) )

When I hear things like that, it REALLY makes me wanna go to Disneyland. I've never been there, but I love Adventureland in Florida. I love Pirates, Jungle Cruise, and have even grown to like the Tiki Room.

My only concern is, once I go to Disneyland, will I think Florida Adventureland stinks?

I still haven't worked up the courage to try Mission:Space.

Me either. I don't even think it's a question of courage. There's just no doubt in my mind I'll get sick, and no experience is worth losing an entire day of my vacation to me.

MK Skips:

Jungle Cruise (depending on the line)
The Tikki Room
Aladdin's Magic Carpets
Country Bears
Liberty Belle Riverboat (Although I've wanted to do it the past two trips, and the past two trips it's been closed!)
Dumbo
Tommorrowland Speedway
Mickey's Toontown
Stitch

Epcot Skips:
O Canada
Wonders of China
Impressions de France
Circle of life Theatre in the Land
Mission Space

MGM Skips:
Beauty and the Beast
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Millionaire
Indiana Jones
Star Tours

Animal Kingdom skips:
Legend of the Lion King
Tarzan Rocks
Rafiki's Planet Watch
Pocahontas and her Forest Friends

I'm not a big "show" person. I definitely prefer the actual rides. :)

It's an unfair comparison, to be honest. Disneyland is one-of-two parks. The Magic Kingdom is one-of-four.

Right, but I like the Magic Kingdom the best and spend more time there than anywhere.

I hear the older attractions/rides at DL are awesome. However, I also hear that you're not as well immersed as you are in Florida.

I forget what the guy said, but someone on Behind The Scenes of WDW called Disneyland classic or something like that, and called Magic Kingdom in Florida spectacular.

Seeing the golden arches over the trees in Tomorrowland does tend to take some of the luster off the experience.

Oh brother. I don't even like seeing the little McDonald french fry wagon in Frontierland.

Is the entire park like that?

Nope, just Tomorrowland. However, I haven't been to Disneyland in about ten years, so it maybe better or worse by now.

That was Tony Baxter. He said "I think of Disneyland as charming, and The Magic Kingdom as spectacular."

When you hear of lack of immersion, I think that means in the sense of vacation. What I have heard (and it's all second hand, so take it for what it's worth) is that strictly in terms of the park itself - Disneyland is far more magical and wonderful than the Magic Kingdom.

But that as a resort destination, Disney World blows Disneyland out of the water.

As soon as I have the opportunity, I want to fly out to Anaheim and check it out for myself. :)

As Disney says, maybe Disneland is the Happiest Place On Earth, and Magic Kingdom in Florida is the most Magical Place On Earth.

I can't imagine anything topping Magic Kingdom in Florida for me. There is no place in the world I ever want to be more than right there.

Let's see, I'll go park by park.

Animal Kingdom - We don't ALWAYS skip it, but we don't visit Conservation Station very often. In fact, we've been going since 1998 when the park opened and we've only been there 3 times. We did Tarzan Rocks once, and that was enough. NEVER AGAIN. I'm happy that this show will be replaced soon.

Epcot - When it was still there, we always skipped Innoventions.

MGM - Because we don't have kids, we skip Bear in the Big Blue House.

Magic Kingdom: We do not go to ToonTown, however we did ride the Barnstormer one time for the heck of it. We've only ridden Snow White's Scary Adventure once. We've only done Tomorroland Speedway twice. Only done Dumbo once. Other than that, we do it all at the Magic Kingdom. Even the Carousel. Again, this is due to the fact that we don't have kids.

wow....I must be one of a very few who actually like Tarzan Rocks.

In Magic Kingdom we always skip the speedway...not gonna wait in a line that long for something I can walk faster than.

In MGM I skip Sounds Dangerous and in Epcot I skip Ellen's Energy whatever it is...just too long.

this will be the first time in a long time for us to go to mgm and mk (if we go to mk) we problery will do most of it lol
