I will be finishing up our OKW stay for 2004 on Monday. We are staying in our first studio from December 18th through the 24th. It will be our first stay with just our family. OKW will be fine but I would like to try somewhere that will be very Christmasy, activitiy for our DD age 7, and close proximity to restaurants ( I won't be cooking :smooth: ).

I know everyone has there favorite resort, but I am specifically looking for the best during the Holidays and what might be the easiest to get at 7 months.

I think you have a lot of conflicting desires here and no one DVC resort is going to meet all of them. The best resort for holiday decorations is imo WLV, the resorts closest to the largest variety of restaurants is SSR, BCV, BWV and the resort easiest to get into at 7 month is OKW. Personally I would go with WLV if you can get it at 7 months. This resort is full of holiday charm and atmosphere. It also has a nice selection of dining options from all the MK resort restuarants. However it will also be the hardest to get into at 7 months during the holidays.

Outside of the fact that I am bias toward VWL, I feel the theme lends itself to to the Christmas season.
Don't get me wrong, all the resorts do a top notch job, but in my opinion VWL stands above the rest when it comes to the holidays.

I am biased but I would choose BWV. In fact, we will be there and the BCV this December. I do have to say that all the resorts are beautifully done.

I think WVL is also good for restaurants. There are 2 great restaurants in the resort itself and you're a quick boat ride from the good eating at Fort Wilderness and the Contemporary (Chef Mickey's anyone?). We also found it was a breeze to take the boat over to the Contemporary and then hop the monorail to either the Poly or GF. There was rarely any wait for a boat, which made this work really well for us.
