What little things in Disney amuses you..

I love the guy with the mickey ears in the sorin video. He looks so sad when he has to put them in the pouch.

It's not really a Disney detail, but I love the birds, and squirrels that scavenge for food all around the dining patio by the Yorkshire County Fish Shop in Epcot.

Por Favor Mantengase Alejado De Las Puertas <------- AHHH LOVE IT

And I always get teary eyed in the Carousel of Progress...I miss the The Best Time Of Your Life *it was still playing when we went to Grad Nite and I think that is why I loved it so* song but love the There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow one too. They are both great song.

I love reading the tombstones at HM, and watching for Madame Leota's eyes to open. I also love the seagulls outside of Nemo saying "Mine! Mine!" My kids and I do that to each other and crack up!

haha my daughter LOVED the birds outside nemo, we actually got her the shirt with them on it that says "MIne Mine mine"

Just not Disney til I get my Mickey Waffles....and hear those famous monorail lines on espanol :)

I just love on the people mover whe they say "pageing Mr Tom Morrow Mr Tom Morrow. your party has arrived from Saturn..please give them a ring" I also love the little hula dolls in Small World when they shake their booty really fast.

Def my favorite also.

There's an old timey phone on Main Street, and if you hold the ear piece to your ear, you can listen to a turn-of-the-century partyline! You'll hear a mother talking to her daughter...I think she's complaining about the nieghbors and the price of bread. hehe.

Love all of these on the list!

Another detail that we love is how the stamped and colored concrete is specific to each location in the parks and resorts. Check it out, it really is amazing what great lengths they go to.

I love the "scary" cast members at Haunted Mansion and ToT but wanted to share a cute story from our trip last year. Our DD had just turned 7 two days before we went to DHS. She was determined to ride all of the big rides including ToT. When she was in line almost to the elevators she started getting nervous. When we got into the elevator she started to cry a little...my husband was about to take her off and one of the cast members broke character and said "It's okay princess, it isn't as scary as we make it seem." That was all it took and she ended up loving the ride. I appreciate everyone staying in character but I will always remember this on guy who broke to make my daughter feel better :)

The music of the space mountain queue. I believe there are three sections. The entrance music, the star tunnel, and then a third which im not sure of the name. All awesome.

Yep, the Space Mountain music is awesome. It's no accident that iTunes reports that "Promising Tomorrows" is my most listened to track. :rolleyes1

Other little WDW treasures that amuse me...
- the footprints from the peg-legged pirate on the belt leaving PotC
- exotic birds on the little trail near Tree of Life (Africa side) in AK
- toy train in Germany @ Epcot
- catching unexpected characters doing meet-n-greet at the teardrop mear Judge's Tent
- eating an ice cream cone off Main Street after Wishes as a throbbing mass of humanity presses on toward the exit
- animatronic birds in Tiki Room preshow
- catching a boat from DHS to Epcot

I can relate to many of the "little things" mentioned.

One of my favorites, we usually go to MK our first day, head to Fantasyland, and this makes me know "I'm at Disneyworld", is on Peter Pan's Flight, when you take off at the beginning of the ride:

"And off...we...go-oooo." Love it!

I love the tiki statues in Adventure Land. We had our picture taken with them every trip when I was a kid. I don't know if they still do it or not, but when I was little you could hear them chant or talk.

My favorite thing is following my DD to the "Cars where I can drive" and how the Teacups are placed so that she detours to that first. That makes me feel the magic everytime.

I love this thread!! One of my favorites is unexplainable- no idea why I like it so much, but it is always the point that I smile the hardest at WDW... On Splash Mountain when everyone is singing "Zippedee Do Dah" and the chickens are dancing with their wings outstretched... that makes me laugh and smile every time. Just thinking about it cracks me up and it is something we do around our house!
My other favorite is the torches being blown out before Illuninations. I am not even that fond of the show, but I looooove that point. We even bought torches that are miniature replicas of the ones around the bay for our backyard.

Right before we got on star tours, we were watching the movie with the lady telling us about the ride and the Cast Member was reciting every single word he said it was hilarious :rotfl:

I loved when the green army men sit and act like they are a statue and then jump out at you. I saw a woman talking on her cell phone and one of them stood behind her the whole time :lmao:

I love it when you first step off the plane into orlanda and are instantly hit with a wave of heat :goodvibes

Before riding Rockin' Roller Coaster, I love it when Steven Tyler puts his hand to his forehead and says, "Wait....I love that idea..." when the agent/manager quips, "Do you want them ALL to come to the concert?" It just makes me laugh.
Steven should NOT quit his day job to become an actor!

WAIT! I love that part! too. We wanted to do the ride to get our picture taken on takeoff with our hands on our head like Steven, but we never got a chance. :hippie:

I get a kick out of the lewd hand gesture that Stephen Tyler does in the recording studio at RnR.

it's a resort thing, but a Disney touch that we miss. The classic cartoons channel at the WDW resorts. This was hands down our favorite 'little thing'.

Tom Morrow was the Director of Operations in Mission Control for the Flight to the Moon attraction.

And, "Tom Morrow 2.0" (two-point-Oh) was a very small (about 10" tall) AudioAnimatronic character (welcoming host) in a previous incarnation of Epcot's Innoventions. He could be found just inside the doors of the building.

He's GONE? When? I don't remember seeing him last week but I am sure he was still there in October?
