What little things in Disney amuses you..

One other little thing I love about the parks are the obscure, yet vaugely familiar character actors they use in their attraction movies. Like John Michael Higgins in the Test Track movie. That guy cracks me up, especially in the Christopher Guest mockumentaries. And then, of course, Patrick Warburton at Sorain'. And I remember in Body Wars, one of the commanders is an actor I've seen in a bunch of stuff, but I can only really remember him as playing Doug's dad on King of Queens. I always crack up when I see these cats in the movies and people near me will look at me like I'm an idiot (which is partly true).

The first time we rode Test Track, my husband and I started laughing hysterically when he came on the screen and people were staring. I love him.

Two of my favorite little things are when the CM's at Hauted Mansion and Tower of Terror are in full scare mode. The Haunted Mansion CM's scare my kids to death in a good way and it's great when one of the CM's at TofT says something like have a nice ride, NOT right when the doors to the elevator are closing...just cracks me up.

Another thing that amuses me that I don't always here any longer is at the MK. When you walk down Main St the first little alley way on your right at the end look up to your left and there's a window up there that says dancing and singing lessons. If you listen very carefully you can hear tap dancing or someone doing scales. It's so cool they go to that much trouble to make it so real.

And Paging Mr Tom Morrow always brings a smile to my face...:)

I always chuckle in the Test Track pre-show when they show the "surprise" test. It's so non-chalantly added to the movie, cracks me up.

On our last trip we went with some friends, and we were all riding HM together. It was near the end of the day, so there were the 7 of us and maybe 5 or 6 others in the stretching room. When it went dark, the cast member walked up and stood next to my friends wife in such a way that she'd see him only when she turned to walk out of the room. We all saw him standing there except Sarah...and the scream she let out was great, which was immediately followed by her laughing at the whole thing. The cast member never broke character, either. I guess log this entry under: Little things the CMs do amuse me. ;)

It's a shame that TTA will be down when we are there in May. I am going to miss hearing that on this trip. Ohwell, It will give me a good reason to plan another trip for next year, not only to ride TTA and hear that, but also to give the new Space Mountain a try.

Another thing I can't get enough of, even though its a little corny, is the boat guide's little stand up comedy on the jungle boat ride at MK.

The haunted mansion was closed for refurbishment my last time I went... that is on my list. Space mountain will be closed this time :(

I have only been to Disney twice. Once when I was 10 and then 2 years ago. I'm 26 now ;)

But... the littlest thing that amuses me is actually remembering doing certain things with my family. like I remember riding Space Mountain with my dad (who was deathly scared, hehe) and then... reliving those memories.

I dont know if those sentiments are experienced by everyone, but it makes me feel happy.

Por Favor Mantengase Alejado De Las Puertas

that's my favorite also. I say it to the kids every time we get into the car. They think I"m nuts.

Hint: I downloaded "por favor" (the monorail line) from phonezoo, it's now my ringtone for text messages. Makes me grin every time!

My favorite might just have to be waiting near the castle for wishes to start... especially if it's not our last day at MK, and we've still got the whole vacation in front of us! Hearing Jiminy Cricket's announcement, and having the lights dim! Love that!:cutie:

I just love on the people mover whe they say "pageing Mr Tom Morrow Mr Tom Morrow. your party has arrived from Saturn..please give them a ring" I also love the little hula dolls in Small World when they shake their booty really fast.

Yes, I love it, too. But there's a personal reason. I actually knew someone named Tom Morrow!

(and, Robo, he wasn't nearly as famous as your Tom Morrow!)

I love reading the tombstones at HM, and watching for Madame Leota's eyes to open. I also love the seagulls outside of Nemo saying "Mine! Mine!" My kids and I do that to each other and crack up!

"Please stand clear of the doors" in spanish :lmao: :rotfl:

They have a T-Shirt with this on it now. Came thisclose to buying it several times.

I have 2:

On the upper windows on main street in MK, they have names. Its all the original Imagineers. IIRC, Walt's name is on a window above the ice cream shop all the way down.

The other one is, on the Winnie the Pooh ride, right after the car goes into the ride on the left side is a picture of Mr. Toad handing a deed to Owl. The building that is now Winnie the Pooh used to house Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Ohh other favs are "Dead men tellll no talllesssssss" from Pirates and at the end of the Haunted mansion where they tell you to "beware of hitchhiking ghosts!" Not to mention the cool music in the Haunted Mansion. I dont know what they are called but they are in Epcot..like little water shoots that jump from base to base...I love to see kids get their hair parted with these...cracks me up evey time.

That moment right before Illuminations begins when all the torches are suddenly "blown out".

I also love the Jiminy Cricket announcements before and his narration during Wishes.

The music of the space mountain queue. I believe there are three sections. The entrance music, the star tunnel, and then a third which im not sure of the name. All awesome.

I love the torches being blown out at Epcot......but I also love on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad when the announcer says "This is the wildest ride in the wilderness." I laugh every time I hear it and sometimes say it just randomly around the house...DW just loves ;):rotfl:

Last one...i promise....I love the CM's at HM...DW decided she was going to be funny and go word for word with the voice as we were walking into the first room and we were the last ones to enter the room so the CM was right behind us and very loudly yells "LET THE MASTER SPEAK FOR HIMSELF!" DW and I got a little chuckle out of it.

In The Country Bear Jamboree, I'm always amused by the teddy bear that little Oscar has.

I also love the seagulls outside of Nemo saying "Mine! Mine!" My kids and I do that to each other and crack up!

That cracks me up as well! I love the seagulls. When my DH and I are starting to get the Disney itch (which is often) we will start saying phases from the rides. My favorite is "now approaching space mountain" while rideing TTA. It makes me smile everytime!:goodvibes

I like the talking trash can. I've seen it in AK and in MK.

I get a kick out of kids interacting with it, while adults look around trying to figure out where the operator is.

I love the ghostly southern bell who sits outside of the haunted mansion during MNSCHP. She has such an air of snobbishness about her. She commented on how tasteful our mouse ears were!

I was just on another thread and someone posted a LINK to the monorail ride request. Well Just LISTENING to that announcement made my day, brought some DISNEY magic, just what I needed, I am SO SICK of winter and so ready for a Disney trip!! That crazy announcement to "stand clear of the doors" is just so DISNEYESQUE!! :rotfl2: Close my eyes and think I am there, LOL
Click here for the announcement...it's in the YouTube clip attached to my piece on riding in the front of the monorail.
I just LOVE Patrick in the Soarin' spiel. At the appropriate moment, my DH and I turn to each other, put our thumbs up, and chant, "Nice work, pal!"
