What little things in Disney amuses you..

Wow, So many great ones I have seen so far on this thread. I have the following that I have always loved:

(1) Mexico (Old Ride Before Renovation) - When you could come to the market and each person is trying to sell you something and follows you to the next window. We always found it amusing to watch them try, try and try.
(2) Mexico (Old Ride Before Renovation) - Going into the fiesta room where they now have "The Three Caballeros" singing they use to play "El Rio de Tiempo"...Loved that song and annoyed family with it "Welcome mi amigos, to friendly mexio. To the land of fiestas, they're everywhere you go". I could annoy my family for hours with this one, and thank goodness I have the recording :thumbsup2 so now the annoyance goes on for life!
(3) Haunted Mansion - Love reading the tombstones before entering the attraction. Also, Love the portraits as the room is stretching.
(4) Carousel of Progress - Whether it was the older song "The Best Time of Your Life" or "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" being sung over, and over, and over. Plus, Watching the father have his arms open and the bouncy movement as he was singing the song. A family member will no longer go on this ride as they cannot stand either song, but I must see it every time.
(5) Theming - Completely agree with the theming and transitions from one land to another is just incredible, plus the musical transitions from one area to another.
(6) Monorail - Both love hearing the saying in spanish, and also just enjoy riding this thing. I constantly see people just staying on the loop to epcot all the time and not getting off.
(7) It's A Small World - If you have never noticed or seen this, I believe every 15 minutes or 30 minutes the cuckoo clock opens up to show the current time, and literally its a big performance by the cuckoo type clock. You can see this when waiting in line before boarding the boats.
(8) Pirates of the Caribbean - Before the movie and still is one of my favs, is watching the three jail cell pirates trying to entice the dog for the key.
(9) TTA - Always loved the Tom Morrow joke, even funnier Boston University just had a hockey player by that name, so we use to laugh everytime we would watch some college hockey and they would say it. Plus, Its a great break for walking around as a ride.
(10) Haunted Mansion Cemetery (After exiting ride) - In the top left corner you will see a bronze statue of Mr. Toad, always brings back some memories for the ride.
(11) Park Street Performers - They are great for just a little break also, and provide some pretty good laughs at all the theme parks.

Alrighty, I can keep going but my list will be way too long, not that it isn't already but there are so many little things to enjoy you just have to keep those eyes and ears open.

In the Haunted Mansion, the little ghost at the end "Hurry back, hurry back, be sure to bring your death certificate, should you decide to join us"

And the hula girls in It's a Small World. The way they shimmy their hips. Hence my screen name! I love them!!!

In Norway on the Maelstrom as your boat starts going, "You are not the first to pass this way...." I love the accent!

Muppet Vision 3D - the pre show!!! "I'm Dinah, I"m Dorothy, I'm Max, yeah, Debbie was sick so the union sent me"

Mickey's Philharmagic - the spray of air from the corks coming out of the bottles. I don't know why, but it gives me the giggles every time!

it's a resort thing, but a Disney touch that we miss. The classic cartoons channel at the WDW resorts. This was hands down our favorite 'little thing'.
Speaking of resort televisions, anyone remember the "Zipadee Do Da Tip for Today?" They used to have those repetitively and it would be burned in my brain and DH's by the time our vacation was over.

Yeppers, Remember those very well...You can actually look on http://www.live365.com and search for either "Disney Theme Park" or "WDW Theme Park" and you should find some online radio stations that play everything around the park songs, clips, ridethroughs, etc. I have heard these tips on Sorcerer Radio quite often...

That is my favorite part of the TTA or as we still call it....the people mover. My other is the Cleopatra doll in it's a small world. I bought my Mom a figurine of her when I was really young. Everytime we go on it to this day we make sure to point it out to eachother.

Paging Tom Morrow and Stand clear of the doors in Spanish are my favorites as well.

Mr. Smee and Captain Hook acting like they are going to steal my jewelry.

I love this thread! Many of my favorites have already been said but I must add:

The cartoons playing at Casey's. DH and I always find time to grab a dog, sit on the bleachers and watch a cartoon.

/
Ooops - just one more

The bugs leaving the theater after Its a Bug's Life....when you feel the crawlies on the bench exiting before you! LOVE it

There you go being all science-y when we really know it's MAGIC, Robo. ;)

What amuses me the most is watching little children play in the interactive fountains in Epcot. DH and I will often sit across the way and watch them play--it's hilarious how they're always so surprised when the water shoots up.

On our last trip, DGS (then age 4) played in those fountains for about an hour ... best time, memory, and photos we have from that trip. He is looking forward to doing it again when we return in April.

Our other favorite is watching and listening to kids on the bus in the morning ... all the excitement is contagious!!!!

Thanks everyone for a great thread!!!!!!!!1

"Stupid Judy!"

LOVE it! That whole pre-show is great!

Oh and the Honey I Shrunk the Audience things where he does the safety spiel... "Do not put on your safety glasses until you safely seated safely inside the theater, safely" or something like that. I love it, but I can never get the line correct!

haha, omg yes! When we went The Snow White Hi-Ho Sing Along was played on that channel NON STOP. On Friday the Kindergarten class that I am observing always watches something while they eat their snack. I was busy helping a few finish a craft and I heard "Hi-Ho-Hi-Ho-Hi-Ho Hum...!" I got all excited and thought of Disney World :)

The physics of how the sound from a source (a speaker, for instance) "travels" is that it falls off much faster than the linear distance that you move away from it.

So, even though you may be walking at a steady pace, the sound falls off (gets fainter) at nearly twice the rate as the distance you are walking.

Then, as you APPROACH the new speakers (different music) it INCREASES in level very rapidly as you get nearer.

The combination of these two phenomena means that the music in the new area you are approaching will "overtake" (and cover) the music from the previous area very quickly and completely.

I think that ought to confuse the issue enough.
My work here is done.

Move along, now.
;)

.

You remind me of Sheldon from Big Bang Theory.
That show is my crack.

I just love on the people mover whe they say "pageing Mr Tom Morrow Mr Tom Morrow. your party has arrived from Saturn..please give them a ring" I also love the little hula dolls in Small World when they shake their booty really fast.

My husband and I think Tom Morrow is sooooo funny. We have this whole thing going that we look for him through out the parks. I can't wait to share this with him..that others think this funny, too.:rotfl:

The CM's at ToT are amazing. They really get into their character. I love the way they do things and then when the door is closing to go up they come and stare in on you. That is one of the best things i always remember.
