What Is Your Favorite Bugs Bunny Cartoon?

Can you tell I spent much of my youth in front of the TV? :rotfl:

How about the one where Bugs was calling the square dance for the two feuding hillbillies- "Whomp him low and whomp him high, stick your finger in his eye." That always cracked me up! I actually hope some one knows the answer to this. My dad always wanted to know in which cartoon Bugs said the line, "I wonder what the poor rabbits are doing?" I know it was in "A lad in his Lamp", but my dad had always said he saw it in another one as well. Does anyone know if Bugs ever said this in a another cartoon, cause if so, I've never seen it and can't find it. Thanks!

I'm really more of a Sylvester freak but Bugs is great too.

I like Witch Hazel and "A Witch's Tangled Hare" is a funny episode.

Inspired by the new bugs bunny thread :sad2:

I thought we could have a happier thread with our favorite Bugs memories.

Here is one of mine:

My stars! If an INTERESTING monster can't have an INTERESTING hairdo then I don't know WHAT this world is coming to. Oh dear, that will never stay. I'll just HAVE to give you a permanememenant!

DL, right there with you...the episode with Gossamer is the BEST!

I've always thought that Disney did much better feature-length cartoons, but Warner did much better shorts. Maybe it's because I spent every Saturday morning when I was a kid watching the Bugs Bunny / Road Runner Show.

It's hard to pick one favorite. "What's Opera, Doc" and the "duck season! rabbit season!" ones are definitely up there.

About 15 years ago or so (I'm thinking 1989, around the time Mel Blanc died) some friends and I went to a movie and they showed a Bugs Bunny cartoon before the movie. It was "High Diving Hare", where Yosemite Sam wants to see Fearless Freep do the high dive but he's not there so Sam tries to make Bugs do it but Bugs keeps turning the tables on him. It was great seeing one of those old cartoons on the big screen again, and we could have sat through two hours of them.

I have so many favorites but my #1 would have to be the one with the vampire. Bugs thinks he's checking into a hotel but he really ends up in Transylvania in a castle. I'm cracking up just thinking about it! :rotfl:

My favorite too!

Whirl, whirl, twist and twirl, jump around like a flying squirrel. Don't you holler and don't you swear, come on out and form a square! :rotfl:

"I'll hug him and squeeze him and love him and call him George"

"Sshhh, be wery, wery quwiet, I'm hunting bunny wabbits."

Two lines that I seem to use once in awhile that makes my DH crack up. Like the time we were at a new library and we entered into a "quiet zone"...I almost got us kicked out for laughing too loud.

My favorites are:
The one with Bugs and Yosmite Sam as opposing forces during The War Between Th' States. :) That cracked me up.

And...
There's one REALLY REALLY old one I used to have on a video my grandparents gave me where Bugs is in an army plane and he's supposed to jump out. He goes to jump, realizes how scary it is and gets a '4-f' stamped on him (which I guess in WWI or II or whatever that mean you flunked out).

Another vote for Hillbilly Hare (although What's Opera Doc is a close second). I have the wave file on my PC and "found" a copy of that cartoon in a newsgroup several years ago. It's a keeper.

I started laughing so hard when I saw the picture! :rotfl2: Thank you for that!

What a great thread!

Any of them with Marvin the Martian (Ohhhh, you Earthlings make me SOOOO angry!)

I also like the one with the dragon and Yosemite Sam where he calls the dragon an "idget."

"What's Opera, Doc" and "The Rabbit of Seville" are absolute classics.

I also love the one with the feuding hillbillies!

I have the Bugs Bunny CD and laugh every time I play it!
