August reduced hours

I have traveled late August many many times... it does seem this year they have loaded up with party nights. during my 2 weeks, MK closes early 7 nights! and the one early night for DHS. That's a lot.
Yes the number of MNSSHP are quite high now (building over the last couple of years). The HS early close on August 16th is for a private event.

As an AP I don’t even go to MK at night on non-party days from August through December as they are usually more crowded. Especially when they have Christmas parties 4 nights a week in December.

We have park hoppers also but have not decided if we will use them for this day or not. The plan was to hop between Epcot and HS on Saturday and Sunday.

I made an error because I made ADRs before I confirmed park hours. I will have to see how my LLMP selections work
Have you done Space 220 before? It was one of my favorite experiences. Not sure if they still do this, but the area to enter Space 220 was roped off and a long line had formed. (Our reservation was for opening that day.) We were towards the front of that line. They took only so many people at a time. If they still do it that way and a long line forms, you might want to budget more time to get into the restaurant. It was pouring and we had to stand out in the rain for about 10 minutes, til we were taken inside. Those further back in line obviously waited longer. But it was all worth it imho.

This will be our first time for Space 220

It also helps that I have a Magic Kingdom view at Bay Lake Towers...
A couple years ago we stayed at BLT and while our room wasn't considered MK or fireworks view, it definitely was. (Although one night a couple decided to practice playing tennis during fireworks and turned on all the lights on courts right in front of our room). We got to see the regular MK fireworks plus the MNSSHP fireworks. We also got "treated" to a surprise practice fireworks show at around 3 am one night.

Aha, you probably had a north tower view. I wondered if those likely could see the park. Bummer on tennis court lights. And yeah, practice nights are a weird surprise to wake up to. High floors in June could have just seen and heard practice runs for Starlight Parade late at night! Lots of rehearsals take place in those hours. I have a friend who works in MK Entertainment.

We’ll be in MK during the day of a party night. I’ve made an ADR at Diamond Horseshoe at 4pm when the party crowd starts to show up. After dinner, we’ll hop over to Epcot. Doing this twice on our trip.
Good plan!
