Will be traveling with my four (4) children this summer ALONE for the first three days of our family vacation (hubby will join later) and would LOVE to try a Deluxe resort as these are usually out of our budget due to the fact that there are six of us and we would need two rooms.

Since I will have 3 days of only 5 of us I REALLY REALLY want to try a deluxe......I know they are value season at the end of August but would love some help with which ones accommodate 5 people and out of those...which ones are least expensive!

As you can see by my trip counter below I will be in WDW IN 2 DAYS!!!! and want to try to take advantage of the Comeback promotion so I need to go down there prepared.;)

a garden wing room at CR would probably be the cheapest.:D

I was at GF 01/01/03 to 01/05/03 and was not offered any come back promotion, but was hoping :)

I thought somewhere on this board or maybe it was on mousesavers.com (I can't search on this board to figure it out) that it was mentioned that the comeback promotion is usually only mentioned to a few rooms or certain hotels but someone said soemthing about the number or code and said if you call from a resort room- no matter which resort- and tell them that code you could do the comeback promotion?

I might have even made a note of the code... I'll try to see if I can find it in the mess of chickenscratch I have on a bazillion pieces of paper now. LOL

The Contemporary Garden Wing has been know to have some of the least expensive rooms that can comfortably sleep 5 people. The rooms are quite large and have 2 queen sized beds and a day bed, the bathroom has a very convenient layout--- and it is very convenient to the MK, which with 4 kids, I am sure is a great bonus. Your kids will love the huge game room, as well!

Check mousesavers for the comeback promotion - I can't remember the code, but like someone else said, even if you don't get the "flyer" on the door you should be able to book as long as you make the ressies while you're there.

Honestly, I think all the Deluxes are within a few $'s of each other as far as price (someone correct me if I'm wrong), but depending on any codes you get the prices could be significantly different. That said, I would stay where you think you'll enjoy your stay the most.

Contemporary is very close to MK. The rooms are very loud, but they have a great game room for kids. The Beach & Yacht Club are beautiful & have an awesome pool - my kids loved it & constantly talk about it. The slide is great. We've only visted the GF, AKL & WL but I love the atmosphere of all 3. AKL is not real close to anything & you would always need to take a bus (or drive if you have a car)

If you can swing it, definitely treat yourself & the kids - I would. ;)

Forgot to mention - another option for 6 people (when DH joins you) is to stay in a FW cabin. Unless you are looking for the 2 bathrooms - if you have 2 rooms - they are a great option. They have a full size kitchen, which can save a lot of money on food. You also can save time in the morning by being able to eat breakfast in the room.

Also, I am not positive, but I think all the Deluxes can hold 5 - of course, that will depend on what you are willing to pay I think. Some deluxes have standard rooms that hold 5, but I'm not sure if they all do.

I believe you mention the "GOLDEN HANGER" . I called WDW also and they said you don't need to have the hanger, you just have to be calling from a resort inside the park at the time. Good Luck.

I just called DC resv. number and asked for any discounts I could use if I'm currently staying onsite. I got the resort I wanted and also got a 40 percent discount.

The code I heard about s BAQ and I am definitely going to try this while I am down there....the Contemporary sounds great....I didnt think the Y&B clubs could have 5 to a room! Can anyone verify because the kids would LOVE Stormalong Bay.

Thanks for all your help.....

PS. While I realize the cabins can hold 6 I dont think I could handle sleeping on a full size murphy bed with hubby for 7 or 8 nights......we are too used to the king at home PLUS he snores pretty bad and believe it or not a king bed allows me to get away from him (LOL) a bit...it really does!!! So we are booked into the HIFS for the rest of the trip (he doesnt think that staying onsite is all that great anyway).

gduvall- from your countdown time I see you have booked the Y&B club - can I ask what time of year (value, regular, peak) you are going and what your rate was? (If you wouldnt mind that is)

The Beach Club does hold 5 - 2 queens (I think) & one day bed. I know because we just stayed there in Nov. My kids absolutely loved it. It was a special treat for us all. :)

We thought the BC room was on the small side compared to the Poly. I think CR is your best bet in size and price. I think WL is the least expensive??

I think AKL and WL are the least expensive. But, if it were me I would go with the Beach Club. My personal favorite!

Wieh 5 people you would have to pay quite a bit extra for a deluxe room at AKL and WL. The regular rooms only sleep 4.
