Thank you all for all of the wonderful tips! I am building a word documents with all of the tips that apply to us/ that I want to remember and am so excited! Too bad I still have a year and a half until cruise time...

If I remember correctly and someone help me on this :confused3 .... you can turn off charge privileges on your kids KTTW card but you can add a preset amount for them to use for smoothies, movie candy, arcade, etc.... this saves them running up big $$ on the room account but they still have some "pocket money".

I did not think this was possible? I'd like to know if you can too. Great idea. I trust my children, but if they misplace their card, I'd hate to have someone else use the card with open ending charging.

These tips are awesome. Going on a first cruise and in October so I am hanging on every word :surfweb:

I KNOW they can turn off charging privileges on kids cards so you don't need to worry about that...it's just the adding a set amount of $$ that I'm fuzzy on. I have asked a friend to reply who will know. Just sit tight for an update! :surfweb:

I remembered another one!

Take advantage of the photo shoots all over the ship. Get your "prom picture" taken on formal night, get character photos whenever you see them, just get your pictures made. Usually someone in the group winds up NOT being in the photos too often. The photographers ensure everyone is in the picture.

Also give the photographer or his assistant your camera too and ask them to take your picture with it...they will.

Also, just keep piling up your pictures in Shutters, one behind the other, until the end of the cruise. Then you can pick out the best of the best to use with your package. The packages aren't cheap but to me it was worth it. There are so many photos taken of DH and I that I just LOVE :lovestruc I'm glad we spent the money to get them. Many were/are better than we could have gotten from our camera.

The only problem with that is that sometimes they take them down and then you spend an hour going through a huge box of pictures to find yours. Trust me - I know:sad2: ! You can buy a package and when you find pictures that you like better then what you already have, you can switch them out. Also, if you get a bigger package then you need:rotfl: then you can downgrade your package.

We'll be first time cruisers in June and was sooooo relieved to hear you can turn off your child's charging privs. Looking forward to hearing if you can add a preset amount - that would be the best of both worlds and avoid me having to sell my 12yo DS in Mexico so I could pay off the charges I know he would rack up :lmao:

If your staying in an inside cabin, make sure you bring a light up clock to sit on the bedside. This is a must. Don't forget the extention cord, just in case.

Also, if your staying in a inside cabin, one of the chanel on the TV has a live color cam of outside the ship. This is great, it is like having a port hole. :thumbsup2

and my favorite tip was the extension cord, it's a must!

Night light I could have done with out.

Pack and take out 1/2 is a must next time, I'm a total over packer!!

and my last favorite: Use the porter when getting off of the ship, they have their own line to get through customs and it was a breeze!!! We didn't have to wait in the other very long line!!!

Bring a power strip! There are no outlets.

Definitely agree with the Downy wrinkle spray...works great

Buy a passporter book about the DCL

There is free dramamine in a box outside of the first aid station on deck 1...just don't make a wrong turn like we did...it was a box of prophylactics!

Scopolomine patch if you REALLY are worried about seasickness...it is a guarantee this will stop it

You can order all the desserts at dinner! and double desserts too!

one that I didn't get .... if you have a late seating for dinner on pirate night...don't eat...there is a beautiful buffet on deck...I regret that so much

Door magnets...it was so easy to find my room...and I got to see my grandchildren every time I entered my room!

Worse yet......Can your spouse turn off your charging privileges???

question about the life style portaits that was talked about earlier. is the line up for this long? did it take anyone a huge amount of wait time? there lovely but i don't want to waste a precious minute.:flower3:

Nope not at all. Disney is really fast at getting the line moving. I'll have to post our lifestyle portrait soon. Just got back Thursday, pheeeewww :)
