What is the benefit of online check in if I need to add tickets to KTTW?

Thought I'd post my question in the title :)

We are staying in ASM next Friday (1 week from today!) :goodvibes
Then we are checking into BWV on Saturday. I have UT 5 day MYW paper tickets.

I can do online check in, but if they already print my KTTW cards, will they have to reprint them when I ask my tickets to be put on them or do they just upload them to the card at the online check-in desk?

I believe they have to reissue them. Don't tie up the on-line check-in desk with this. You need to go to the Tickets/Concierge Desk, not the on-line check-in desk to do this.

Yes, AFAIK, they will have to reprint your KTTW cards if you want to add tickets to the card.

IMO, the only benefit to online checking is the ability to add your credit card for room charging without having to give it to the front desk CM to type in.

If that doesn't matter to you, I do not see a huge benefit to online check in for this trip.

When we went last year, we did online check-in. When we arrived at the resort (OKW), we bought our theme park tickets and they uploaded them onto our KTTW on the spot. They did not have to re-print the KTTW.

We were also doing a split staty at BLT, and our tickets were transferred to our new KTTW cards without any issues whatsoever.

I hope this helps. :thumbsup2

Thanks for responding so quickly!! I will NOT do online check-in! :thumbsup2

(I posted this before seeing your post, Brad)...I still don't get the benefit of online check in. I don't like to have my cc on everyone's key.

The purpose of online check-in is to speed up the check in process. The CMs will print up your paperwork and keys before you arrive, so you don't have to wait at the desk while they do that. You also get to stand in a separate check -in line, which may or may not be shorter than the regular one.

It's really designed for people like me. I've been to WDW lots of times, I don't have a bunch of questions for the CM, I don't need the spiel about how to find my room, I don't make a lot of requests. I walk up to the desk, show my photo ID, they hand me my packet and keys and I'm on my way.

Having tickets added to the KTTW card doesn't need to be a deciding factor in whether you use online check-in. There's a concierge desk in the resort lobby that will gladly add the tickets for you. If you do want to use online check-in, just get your packet and keys, walk over to the concierge desk, and get the tickets added there.

Is it possible to add a note during online checkin with the tickets serial numbers?

There is no place to add free form text during the on-line check-in process. As currently designed, any extra information would be lost as their system would not know what to do with it.
