I know the AP4 rates are good at the Disney hotels until Dec 15th, but what is the AP4 (4?!?) stand for? What exactly is the discount? I know there are good deals such as this throughout the year, but I don't even know where to look to see what this rate is. Thanks. :)

AP4 is the promotion code for Annual Pass Holders. The discounts are huge!

If you call and "pose" as an annual passholder, you can ask for AP4 rates for the given time period. you would have to have an AP in hand in order to check in at that rate though.

I upgraded last time I was in DL partly so I could take advantage of these rates, but alas did not know where to look on the website for them until they were almost sold out. I was able to get a Park View room in the PPH for 149/night for 9 consecutive nights in December. Last May, I could only book mid-week at regular prices - about twice that rate.

The special rates are for 9/3-9/18 and 11/14-12/15 only (Thanksgiving is black-out). Like I said mostly sold out but PPH is still available at special rates for December. IMO worth upgrading for the rate if it's what you want, but you have to be on the ball as to when the rates are released.

Hope that helps - you would be able to get all the info you need with an annual pass in hand since you could then log into the website.

I was lucky, I got the AP4 rate for concierg theme park view at GC for $289.00 verses over 6 for no AP or over 5 for just a regular AP rate. I am looking forward to the concierge theme park view...I could of went a standard room for $199.00 no concierge but life is to short, I'm going to enjoy it while I can.
I didn't know abou tit till I called and was told about it, I am upgraded to AP when I get to DL, well worth the savings for me :thumbsup2

Hi,
I booked a room at DLH for AP rate of169/nite (3 nites) this week (Sept. 5-8).
Would AP4 yield a better deal?
This is really last minute as we are heading to WDW on the 11th.
TIA!!!

Hotcarib, I think those are probably AP4 rates. I finally (whew!) got a rate at Paradise Pier w/theme park view for $149/nite for this weekend. I have heard of even cheaper rates out there but I was desparate to get below $400 for the weekend including tax/fees and we did! Thrilled (!!!) as all I could get before was conceirge (at a higher rate) which I find I don't use. Going to check on fun stuff to do this weekend now...
