What if your side loses?

OK, the rioting crap has to stop. It's racist. STOP IT!!!!!!!

Oh snap! I owe you an apology. I thought you were making a joke. I didn't mean to actually laugh out loud at your post.

As for my part, when I was envisioning rioting I was actually thinking more like the well-fed, well-bred Code Pink wierdo types who typically tend to be caucasian. But if you need to get your game face on by calling us racists don't let me stand in your way.

What is bothering most about this thread so far is the fact that people have mentioned moving out of the country. I understand being fearful of the unknown (and let's face it - no one can tell for certain what things will be like a couple of years down the road), but to completely abandon your country based on who is living in the White House? :sad2: S/He doesn't control EVERYTHING.

I understand. Having lived in another country, I could easily do it again. Don't get me wrong, I do love America, but it isn't horrible living outside of it to broaden your horizons. I learned so much more outside, too.

I would be extremely disappointed and pray that the future I envision for this country, if that were to happen, does not come to fruition.

On a side note, I really hope all the people who say they'll move to another country if the "other guy" wins actually do it!

I'm not the poster you quoted but maybe because of what happened at the RNC.

That riot was orchestrated and executed by a group of self-proclaimed anarchists and anti-authoritarians, not democrats. By definition anarchists and anti-authoritarians would be equally against democrats, and whoever has the authority/leadership position in the country. Meaning they would be no more likely to riot if a Republican won than if a Democrat did. They chose the RNC to attack because they are the current party in power in the White House.

I'd go into a deep hibernation and wake up when it's all over.

Thanks for the info. I had not heard that.

so let me get this straight, it is Bush's fault that we were attacked 9 months into his term, but it will also be his fault if we are attacked up to 6 months after his term? Do I have that right? What is the line of demarkation, or is it simply going to be his fault regardless?

On the flip side, many Republicans here claim we were attacked on 9/11 due to Clinton's failures. So if God forbid another attack came under the first year of the new President, would you then blame Bush?

Personally, I don't believe Al Qaeda plans attacks based on who is running or who wins. I think they hate Americans of both parties equally and aren't afraid of either... as shown by how our war in Iraq has INCREASED their ability to recruit rather than made it harder.

I'd do what I've done when disappointed the last two Presidential elections, I'd wake up on Wednesday, kiss my wife and daughters, fix everyone breakfast, go into work and keep on chasing that green.

Even with the poor excuse for a president that we've had over the last 7+ years, America's given my family so much to be thankful for. As far as I'm concerned, there's still no other place in the world that I'd rather live.

ITA....I also don't think that either candidate will accomplish much in the first 4 years.....so much to reform. I also don't see either of them crashing the world in two. It takes more that one man to bring down the world.....I also hold Congress accountable and the people of the US ...not just the POTUS.

so as the poster says above ....I will be happy to stay put :thumbsup2

I am an American before I am a member of my political party. I'm not going anywhere. I will however, fear more for the future of my country than I ever have before with any past president.

I'm not leaving my country, but if my candidate isn't elected, I fear that means my country is moving even further away from the morals and ideals this country was founded upon.

One thing I won't be doing is coming onto a public message board and running down the man who becomes president, even if he didn't get my vote. I believe whoever who holds the highest elected office in our country deserves more respect to be publicly ridiculed.

The first President of the US, G. Washington, was "elected" by less than 300 people. Our next President, I hope, will be elected (and NOT selected) by more than 100,000,000 voting Americans. If the candidate I vote for doesn't win, I will be deeply saddened and worry even more about us and the future of the US at home and abroad that I do now. However, I choose to live here, I choose to stay here...therefore I will vote again next time and hope my canddiate wins. I will pray that the Supremes live and serve another 10 years...that McCain has totally subperb health, and that more people of my thinking vote next time.

On another note, Bush (and I didn't vote for him either) is not completely responsible for everything that has happened in the last 7 years. WHERE was Congress and thier voting power. Talk about a group that needs some steel in their spines! The Dems had to vote with the Repbs since 2006....WHERE HAVE THEY BEEN? All of them!

Please.... Everything in the world cannot be twisted into a racist comment.

I don't think these threads are healthy for you, seriously.

It is racist to say that if Obama loses there will be riots, but not if McCain loses. Why will there be a violent response only if the black candidate loses?

I think it's a reflection of the truly rabid left wing that supports Obama, I don't care the race. It's not about a black candidate, it's about the mindset of the extreme left.

Just look at the mean, nasty, hateful things said here, and by you no less.

The things you've said about Sarah Palin are disgusting. I've seen nothing close to that out of any of the conservatives. The most I've seen is a joke about BO's ears.

It's not a race thing. It's about the irrational actions of his followers.

Well, let's clarify. It's Bush's fault that Osama bin Laden is walking around a free man. It's Bush's fault that the Taliban is still killing our boys in Afghanistan. It's Bush's fault for creating anti-American animosity in the Middle East because of the tens of thousands of Iraqis killed since the start of the war in Iraq.

And Clinton was responsible for Osama still walking around before 9-11. We could go round and round like this all day! Whee!

I think you might be better off going back to the other thread and ragging on how Sarah Palin isn't fit because she looks like a tranny hooker. You made more sense there.

Just because I said Sarah Palin looks like a trannie hooker Democrats are going to riot? I never use emoticons, but...
:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

I would seriously consider moving to the UK or Canada. If my candidate does not win, I fear very much for my country and I do love my country but it is not loving me or many other Americans back.

As they say Love it or Leave it and once the government starts making my choices for me and my body, that doesn't fly with me. So as they say love it or leave it.

I don't "think" there would be riots if the Dems don't win, but if something shady happens like the last election some people might be a little bit upset :confused3

I just hope it won't become violent but for some that are passionate about it, if it doesn't go there way it might.

Lulz, I'd thank my lucky stars I live in the United Kingdom :goodvibes
