What have you said to get a good reaction from a character?

One time my adult sister said to Goofy "Wow, you have big feet....you know what that means....."

Goofy appeared to crack up. Holding his belly and mouth. It was cute...

At mile 23 or 24 of the marathon last year (who knows, I was running out of steam by then!), the Pooh characters were in front of MGM along the race course. I saw Eeyore cheering and clapping, so I went up and tagged him, and said, "it's a relay, you take it from here." And he ran a few steps with me.

Cute enough, but that afternoon, after I cleaned up and hobbled over to Epcot with my finisher's medal on, I went and saw Tigger at the England pavilion. I told him how I was going to have Eeyore run for me, and he answered back (in mime, of course) that I picked the wrong character, that Eeyore was slow (he mimicked Eeyore plodding along with his head down), and that Tigger would have been a much faster choice because of his bounciness!! Very cute!!

When taking a picture with Captain Hook say - Smile and say Crocodile! :) I did that and he came after me - so funny!

After getting Indiana Jone's autograph, my 4 yr old stunt man says "hey Indy check this out!" The next thing I know my son is crashing over the seats and ends up sideways hanging onto the back of one the bleachers by 1 arm and 1 leg, yelling "cut!". Everyone was laughing and Indy asked him if he was after his job. I was quite embarrassed when the macho security guy escorted us to the exit like we were bad parents.

Last June I was taking a picture of my wife and daughter with Tigger. I made the comment that my wife's favorite character is Tigger. Well Tigger decides to test the waters and started groping on my wife. I took pictures than called my attorney..........

Sorry, just kidding!
I am in one of those nasty sacrcastic moods today and this came to mind when I say the thread.

I'm fnding this thread both entertaining and enlightening! I always feel like such a doofus around the characters because I don't know what to say.

I've had tons of great character interaction, but one that really sticks out in my mind was with Wendell of the Country Bears. It was outside of AK late afternoon, so there was only a small crowd and no one there seemed to know who poor Wendell was. So when I got up to him I was like 'It's ok Wendell I know who you are...and you're my favorite Country Bear.' He was totally psyched by that and was bouncing around :bounce: and giving me hugs and kisses. Then he noticed my Atlanta Thrashers cap and it happens that Wendell was a huge hockey fan and this just set him off. We had about a ten minute 'conversation' ;) about how great hockey is. At the end he takes me and starts walking off arm in arm with me waving to the people in line and his handler. According to the handler/greeter we would have to wait to walk off into the sunset and get married because a line was forming and it was almost time for him to go in. So I sadly departed :( , getting lots of goodbye kisses and hugs  from him, so he could deal with his line. As I'm standing around away from the crowd waiting for my best friend to get her pic taken with some character, Wendell's greeter informed the crowd that he would be going in. As Wendell starts to head off he sees me off to the side & starts waving :wave2: and blowing kisses and his greeter ends up dragging him off. It really made my day, and now, I always think back to the day that I almost married me a Country Bear :lovestruc

First off, I was stopped from entering the park because I was wearing my "Bite Me" t-shirt from Joe's Crab Shack. Once I explained to the supervisor that this was a family restaurant they let me in.
Later that day, in Toontown, we met with Donald, Chip and Dale and Minnie. I go up to Minnie, she takes my arm and "bites me" - well, put her mouth over my arm. Then she points to my shirt, we both cover our mouths and start giggling in Minnie style - everyone in the place said they wished they had a camera rolling.
Alice and the Mad Hatter also got a kick out of my shirt.

Went to see the Pooh characters in Toontown, my mom went to Epcot that day. I told Eeyore that my mom loved him and he was her favorite. He "asked" me if I had anything to write on - I didn't. He got his handler to get a note card and wrote "Mom, Eeyore loves you too!" It was so cute - she has it framed now.

Saw Mary, a chimney sweep and the penguins. Once my neice had her picture with all of them, I asked if I could get my picture just with the penguins. My favorite animals are penguins. They both proceeded to hug and love on me - it was so cute!!

One of my friends said that she went to have her picture taken with Eeyore, while wearing a "Kiss me Eeyore" t-shirt. Eeyore proceeded to get down on one knee and propose to her.

On our honeymoon I wore the Minnie bridal headband, and got a lot of attention because of that - a few characters walked me down the "aisle" and a few would drag me away from DH;)
Stitch stole my ears and had Lilo put them on his head for the picture, that was one of our favorite pics.

On our last trip it was the middle of the afternoon, in the 40s, and a ton of characters were in front of MK with no one there. I had just gotten DH his first autograph book and I ran up to Meeko and told him he was my favorite character - he started to walk away with me, then took the autograph book and looked in the front to see the name (DH's). He wrote "to DH, but I like HER" it was very cute:D

We had great interaction with Bert at 1900 Park Fare recently. We were just sitting down as they walked by, and I actually thought they were going to come to our table at that moment so I said hellp to Bert. They kept walking to another table instead, but before he spoke to them he turned to me and nodded, tilting his hat. When he did get to our table he told me Thanks for knowing who he was. He said most people come there and don't have a clue who he is.

At the same place, our son is a big Mary Poppins and Alice fan. He's 2 1/2 which makes that a littl unusaul I guess. But he asked Alice where Dinah was (her cat). She was so impressed and looked right at his mom and asked if she had prompted him. She had not, he really knew who it was. He's pretty much an expert on Disney characters. He also asked Mary about Jane and Michael. She said, "They're out flying kites with their father." She was also impressed that he knew their names.

We were at Crystal Palace for dinner when Piglet was signing my kids autograph books. My DD asked me if Piglet was a boy or girl and I said I didn't know so I asked him. He then wrote in the book: Tigger, Eyeore, Christopher Robin, Pooh, Roo, Owl, Piglet ALL BOYS!!! I got told off by Piglet. Now I know.

at Chef Mickey's this year we were celebrating my daughters birthday so they gave her a placemat. Mickey signed his name on the back, when Donald came by he wrote Donald Duck #1, Mickey came back and changed it to #100, Donald crossed out the two zeros and added Chef to his name and #5000 to Mickey. My kids went to find Mickey in another room to show him what Donald was doing which kept adding to the play fighting.

Minnie Mouse "kidnapped" my toddler at a character breakfast (Cape May CAFE)> We didn't say anything special.

we had two incidences this January with our DD-18 months...first, as Donald's Breakfastasaraus, she told Mickey that he had boogies and wanted to wipe his nose with her napkin, they had a good time playing for a few minutes with MM blowing his nose into her napkin and DD peeking into it and saying ewwww! She loved it! the other was with Cinderalla, we were last in line to see her in Mickeys' Toontown and the last ones in the room with her, she was the first character that Charlotte had been shy with and I guess she was the first "face character" that she met. she would not go to Cinderella, she just kept saying Pretty Princess. Well, Cindy would just not let her go without a picture, so she plopped herself and her lovely ball gown right down on the floor and pulled Charlotte into her lap, hugs and kisses abounded then, Charlotte was in princess heaven. This next trip in Dec. she wants to meet all of the Princesses. I can't wait!

From my experiences, the more you talk or interact with the characters, the more they interact with you.

Last year at EPCOT, I had just gotten off Mission Space and was pretty sick to my stomach. We had dinner reservations at Rose & Crown and were waiting across the street in the courtyard. Eyeore was over there, so I went up to get a picture and a hug. I told Eyeore that I needed a hug because I was sick from Mission Space. He gave me a hug and then grabbed my hair, pulling it over my head and pointing, pretending to laugh and incinuating that I was blonde and should have known better than to ride Mission Space.

At MGM, me and DH had our picture taken with Sorcerer Mickey. He had ahold of my hand and then wouldn't turn loose. He waved bye to DH and would not let loose of me. I would laugh and try to pull away, but he still held on. He pretended to kiss me and finally let go when the greeters / photographers told Mickey that Minnie would be mad if she found out. It was so much fun and I think of that every time I look at that picture.

When I was about 9 years old we were in WDW at MK waiting in line to meet snow white...we were pretty much at the end of the line and it was almost our turn when I was stung by a bee!:( And as any little kid would do who was stung by a bee, I let our some sniffles. So it became my turn and Snow White looked at me concerned and asked what had happened...I told her and she said that there was a first aid place right down the way. So we snapped the picture and then I went with my DM and DD to the first aid place...a few minutes later Snow White showed up and asked me how I was doing and sat with me until I was taken care of :)

A few years after that were were at MGM and my lttle brother (3 at the time) LOVED Minnie mouse and so one after noon we were at a meet and greet with her and surprisingly there was no one around, so he decides to go up to minnie and "flirt" and they danced to the Park music for almost an hour::MinnieMo

bumpidy bump! great thread! love the ideas! i'm on pins and needles til we get there!!

11 more days!::yes::

Such a great thread!

Last year we were at AK in Camp Minnie Mickey getting pictures while the crowds were still in with the Lion King show so the characters, having few people to see, were all very playful. Goofy (my favorite if you can't tell by my username, haha) was out walking around and when I asked for a picture he grabbed my hand and made me follow him up to his pavilion . . . with a few little kids running behind to catch up, haha! Then got Minnie and went next to Mickey - well Mickey insisted on having a kiss on the cheek and wouldn't stop tapping his foot or tapping the spot on his cheek. After the picture, Mickey's "friend" just shook her head, "Minnie's right over there keeping her eye on you. . ."

That same trip we were in Toon Town and we were leaving one of the rooms (I think we had just seen Minnie, Goofy, and Chip and Dale) when a door opened as we were walking down the hallway to leave and get back into a new line. Out walks Cinderella and out of the whole group of us, my cousin's husbnd jumps and yells, "oh my god! It's Cinderella! Look! It's Cinderella!" Even the kids were looking at him like he was crazy. She waved and went back to I guess the dressing room or break room - wherever they go, haha - and he realized what he did. "Yeah no wonder she gave me a funny look, she was thinking, 'what's up with this moron?'" We teased him the rest of the trip.

Then at MGM my cousin's little girl (3 1/2 at the time) loves Chip and Dale so she went up to them beside the big hat where all the characters were out. The penguins were there also and they were all playing (the characters) When she walked up they started playing with her too - Some people stopped the penguins for pictures but Chip kept playing with her. They were running all over the place playing tag. I have the cutest picture of her peeking around a tree and Chip with his arms thrown out running trying to catch her.
