What have you said to get a good reaction from a character?

The best reaction I saw with my DS was when he met Belle for the first time. He was wearing a shirt with his name on it and she bent over and called him by name. He was instantly smitten! It was like she knew who he was and was waiting there at the castle for him. It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. I wish I had a video camera, but we got numerous pictures of him and his sweetie.princess:

We also told Piglet that we saw his "Big Movie", and he acted like he was blushing, holding his hand up to his mouth and swaying back and forth.

Goofy was great when we went to the breakfast at the Plaza Inn at DL. He hugged my DS, covering him totally in his arms. When I tried to get DS to turn around for a picture, Goofy swatted my hand away and went back to hugging DS. It was really cute!

The characters really know how to "play along" and keep the magic going.

::yes::

While at LTT in April I called Pluto "Goofy". OK. I should have known that it was Pluto, but I was just so excited! I've always had a hard time telling them apart!

He made a big deal out of it and everyone who I was with was laughing hysterically. I felt so embarassed.

Three funny stories:

DS bought and wore a Goofy baseball cap, with the buck teeth and all. When Pluto saw it, he knocked it off DS's head and stomped on it! Goofy of course, hugged DS!

The green army guy from Toy Story - what a hoot! He took DS's hat off and cringed at his long hair, then crammed the hat back on in disgust! Then he pretended to go into shock at the sight of DD's pony-tail!

My favorite story - DS was too shy to ask the Roaring 20's gal hanging around outside of Casey's Hot Dog place for her autograph, so DH went up to her. She screamed with delight and tried to get him to dance with her, she was grabbing at him and everything. DH broke away and I pretended to be PO's about her messing with my husband. "Oh, drat!" she said and went off looking for her next 'victim'.

My husband put my oldest DS up to this one: during the opening of MK one morning, the characters were all out around the front of the train station, Aladdin and Peter Pan and Wendy were all standing on the same sidewalk, my DS tells Peter he bets Peter could beat Aladdin in a flying race with Aladdin's carpet. Well, Wendy got a kick out of this and took my son over to Aladdin and told him this . Peter is over puffing up his chest,( I thought he was going to crow!). My son was so embarrassed! When we got in line for Aladdin later, he acted like he would not sign DS's book! Of course , he did, but it was funny seeing the characters take jabs at each other.:hyper:

Buzz, Woody and Jesse were in front of Al's Toy Barn at MGM. When we got up to Jesse I began to sing "When Somebody Loved Me" to her while she signed DDs book. She got all excited I knew her song, then hugged me and began to cry!! DD of course was mortified but it was fun for me and I won't ever forget it.

That's so cute! I'm impressed you know the words! I haven't seen Toy Story II *that* many times! You deserve a tag line for that one!!

I was wondering...Just how do you tell them apart? I always tell DS we're taking a picture with Chip...uh...or Dale.

Chip has a black nose....like a chocolate chip!

We had dinner at Chef Mickey when my son was 5. He got involved in a game of tag with Donald that went back and forth during our whole meal.

A few nights later, we were at e - night at the Magic Kingdom and Donald was in front of the castle for pictures. Luckily noone was with him, because before I knew it, my son ran towards him and tagged him! I don't think Donald knew why this little kid hit him at first but then he began chasing my son also. Five years later, my son still talks about it and he is still my son's favourite. My son can't wait to get even with him on our next trip - in the photo I took, Donald is giving him "bunny" ears!

YES!
I asked whether Donald could control his temper
around Chip and Dale, and we got a certified
Donald "tirade".... It was very funny!

Use a FRS radio around Baloo, -he grabbed ours
and looked like he was trying to get hold of
his plane (from TaleSpin!).... I got some great
video from this!!!

A great way to get Captain Hook going is to
crow like a rooster -preferrably where he can't see
you when you start... He jumps around and
starts looking frantically for whoever may be
crowing!!!

When we came up behind Capt. Hook, we started saying "tick tock tick tock tick tock" like the clock in the movie. He gets franctic until he realizes who's doing it and then gives chase! Another time he made fists at us, and another cowered to Smee! :) Love those characters!

Jasmine was impressed when my DD-3 asked about Rajah..."Where's Rajah? Is he ok? Why isn't he here?" She took lots of time chatting with her, putting a big lipstick kiss on her page and cheek, etc....she could tell DD was "into" the magic and really played it up for her! :)

In July, me, DS and DD were leaving MK to TCC aboard the boat. As we got on, we noticed Chip, Dale and Pluto coming up behind us. My DD and I took pic and hugged the characters, but my
DS would not. They started acting really upset because he wouldn't take a pic with him. Then, all three of them chased DS all over the boat, (there was only one other couple aboard). Chip and Dale would try to sneak up on DS, try to hug and kiss him. It was halarious. Of course, I was tearing up. I thought this is the magic. When we got off the boat at TCC, all 3 character were really playing up how out of breath they were and how thirsty they were. I don;t think they were kidding. One of the CM's with the char ask " are you dying" they all 3 agreed really acting it up. We had the best time in that short ride across seven seas lagoon. I will never forget having 3 characters all to our selves.

Two years ago my DS said something to the Evil Queen and she started laughing/smileing real big. She was completely out of character and had to hide her face behind his autograph book so the other guests (kids, mainly) wouldn't see her. When she finally got herself composed, she told my DS that he had made her day. Just wish I had taken my video camera that day.

DD collected a character beanie from each country at WS, and had a few with her when we went to eat at the Garden Grill. She set them up on the table during dinner. When Pluto came around to visit, he saw that she had 3 Pluto beanies, and he started tossing them in the air from his nose, and them catching them in his mouth. He even hauled Mickey over to show off for him!

My older DD can talk just like Stitch, so she said a few of his 'naughtier' sayings when we saw him at AK. It was really funny to see his reaction, he loved it!

My DH wore a Donald t-shirt that said "Chick Magnet" (bought it at Target) and Donald LOVED it.

When I saw Mr. Smee and Captain Hook together, I made a BIG DEAL about getting Mr. Smee's autograph first, and Captain Hook didn't like that at all. I told him to stop fussing or I was going to send Tinkerbelle after him...he ended up writing "NO TINK!" in my autograph book next to his signature. Oh, and in the picture, Mr. Smee is kneeling and holding my hand, delighted that I gave him so much attention.

Ask Mary Poppins to say supercalifragilisticexpialidicious (I doubt if I spelled that right) backwards.

Ask Minnie or Daisy why they don't have an engagement or wedding ring yet.

Fuss over the lesser known characters like Gideon, Friar Tuck, etc. So many people don't know them, that they love the attention.

Sometimes it's fun to bow and act subservient to the villains like Gov. Radcliffe, but it's just as fun to insult them. Tell Cruella her coat is ugly, etc.

I'm sure I'll think of more later!

Just recently while we were at the Garden Grille we had a very funny interaction with Pluto.

He comes over to our table and is being silly and I tell him "you're worse than our dogs at home."

He proceeds to write on a napkin and ask what type of dogs we had We told him we have a boston terrier and a cockerspaniel poodle mix. He indicated that he LOVES cockerspaniels and asked is our dog single! So we said yes, our dogs single. THEN because Pluto ran out of room on the napkin he ran over to the otherside of the restuarant and got another napkin to ask what our dog's name is. We wrote Matisse, so then Pluto follows that with "Pluto *hearts* Matisse" !!!! lol

It was so funny, he spent so much time at our table the other CM's asked if we were CM's or knew him or something. We said no, he was just having a little fun.

Anyway, we still have the napkin that Pluto confessed his undying love to my dog on. Didn't have to heart to tell Pluto that Matisse was a boy... who knows, maybe he wouldn't have cared :)

Ask Stitch how high his badness level is, or ask him if he's had any coffee.

I asked Robin Hood how things were going with Maid Marion and he gave a big thumbs up sign and did a swagger and nodded like he was a stud!:D

Once I was walking thru Morrocco at Epcot when Genie was going backstage with his handler, he stopped, looked at me and gave me the "call me" hand signal. I blew him a kiss and promised I would and asked if we should meet at the Kasbah later... he started acting all aflutter and his handler had to pull him thru the door.:jester:

Last year, my DS who was 3 at the time saw Tigger at AK. We were having dinner at CP later that night, so DS told Tigger, "I'm going to eat supper with you tonight." Tigger linked arms with DS(Tigger was on his knees) and did a little dance. He then pointed to himself, pointed to DS and rubbed his tummy. Later that night, as we were eating at CP, Tigger(and I know it wasn't the same Tigger) came up to DS, pointed at him and rubbed his tummy. Of course, DS was so happy that Tigger "remembered" him from earlier in the day. Then DS got to lead the parade around the restaurant. It made a great memory.

When we were at Donald's Breakfastasaurus in August, my dh started talking 'duck' to Donald. He has always been a very good 'duck' talker and just couldn't pass up the chance to impress Mr. Donald. Donald was hugely impressed....hopped all over the place, grabbing his tummy and pointing at dh!! This went on for about 3-4 minutes. Now, my dd was completely mortified by this behavior. Donald is jumping around, pointing to her father, shaking all over and there is her dad, talking 'duck' to Donald as if they were the best of friends. The whole place was in stitches.

Goofy4tink....your description left me with such a beautiful minds eye picture that I am still laughing and smiling.
People just dont talk enough "Duck" anymore, thanks for sharing this magical moment.:goodvibes
