WDW did a test in May with early entry and late nights at various parks and days? Does anyone know how this test worked and if Disney will actually do it this way?

I was there in May. I did the EE and loved it! Now, I thought that Disney was doing the EE now but I thought that they were charging for it. Maybe I'm wrong. I may be getting EE confused with something else.

You are confusing EE with E-nights. From what I read the EE testing concluded in May. What happens going forward is anyone's guess. Disney put E-nights back in place for the summer. This is where WDW resort guests can stay an additional three hours after normal closing of the Magic Kingdom for something like $12.00 per ticket.

I heard that E-Ride Nights will be discontinued (after the last scheduled date in August) and the free program will take their place at some point. Apparently, the tests went well. Hopefully the wait times will be as low as with the E-Ride Nights.

It was pretty much thought that right from the start that there wouldn't be any decisions until later this year at the earliest. So, I don't think the fact we haven't heard anything is encouraging or discouraging to the implementation of the new plan.

Personally I think it sounds great. However, I wasn't there to actually see the wheels in motion. So, it's hard to say how smooth it actually went.
