The Hoop De Doo and Seasons Grill use to have a Strawberry Shortcake that was made with hot biscuits instead of the cake and it was SOOO good! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED that sensation of the hot biscuit and the cold ice cream in the same bite.
The Pigs N' Prawns entree at Papeete Bay. And the mushroom caps stuffed with sausage at Harry's Safari. And The Firecracker Salmon entree at Sum Chows.
When I was a teenager in the early 80's we used to go to Liberty Tree Tavern for a special dessert and their lemonade. The dessert which I can't remember the name was like an apple cobbler served warm with ice cream on top. I am not a lemonade drinker, but there was something different but so delicious about what they served. I was so disappointed when I went back during college and both items were no longer available.
I miss when CRT's breakfast you got everything brought out it wasnt pick one. I especially miss their potato casserole they exchanged it for more traditional homefries (boo!).
I know they still have it but I miss when the create your own treats were all included on the dining plan
The Pocahontas ice-cream bars - I think they only had them the year that Pocahontas was out in theaters - it was vanilla and chocolate ice cream, caramel, and peanuts in a chocolate shell - PURE HEAVEN!!! Oh how we loved those!!!
I miss all of the food at the Origional Chef Mickey's that was in Down Town Disney, where i think the Rainforest Cafe is now, that was back in 1996 when we last ate there.
I really miss the delicious bread pudding they used to serve as dessert in Fort Wilderness' Trail's End Restaurant. It was SO yummy and one year it just *POOF* vanished
I miss the chicken tenders that was standard fare everywhere and now are gone except at some buffets.
I miss the fried chicken at Dixie Landings along with the original chocolate brownies with icing that they no longer make.
I really miss the original Le Cellier back when it was a cafeteria-style restaurant. They made the most delicious meat pie (Tourtiere I believe it was called).
I miss the Mickey Stickies that they served at breakfast at the Concourse.
I miss the gelato at BC Market Place. I just can't believe they replaced something so unique and delicious with a case of generic muffins and pastries. We always started our WDW visit with a gelato and made another stop the night before we left. So depressing. Bring back our gelato!
