Inspired by recent threads asking your weight, your income, etc...

I've seen many posters describe themselves as "Pooh Sized"

I get the concept......you're not Tinkerbelle

But what defines Pooh Sized?

14? 20? 26? 108? 311? Domed Stadium?

:rotfl2:

I'm not really a fan of the term, and I have no idea what the actual standards are.

Well, all have our perceptions but when someone refers to themselves this way, I'm thinkin' it's more than just a little "fluffy.";) I think "Pooh sized" is a nice way for describing themselves as very overweight.

Nah, very overweight would be Ursula-sized.

This one is very simple, since this is a disney board instead of saying a plus- size person, people refer to it as pooh-size ( size 18 + ) . But I bet you already knew that. ;)

When I see pooh-sized, I always think very small. After all, Pooh is just small stuffed (and silly) old bear. It doesn't make sense that Pooh-sized would refer to a larger person.

I'm a size 18/20, and I'm fine with saying plus-size. But pooh-size just tries to "cute up" the fact that I'm fat. So, you'll never catch me calling myself pooh-sized.

I look at it that way also.
I think of Pooh size as only shorter overweight women.

Pooh often complains about is overly large tummy due to his hunny!

I think thats what Pooh sized means.

Sadly most stores these days think Plus sized is 14 and up...some even count 12 as plus sized now. I'm all for being healthy but 12 as a plus size? Please!!!!

Sillys..

Pooh sized is all the honey a pooh could want.

Only women?????

:confused3

To be honest I think people in general make far too much of looks and weight. I'd sure like like to see everyones pictures that have posted on these kinds of threads.

i think poo size varies by what you eat.

Well, to be fair- on the DIS, anytime I have heard someone refer to his/herself as "pooh-sized", I can only ever remember it being a female making the remark. Not to say that men haven't said (typed) it, but I get the general impression that women use this term far more than men. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong- (I know the DISers will)! :rotfl2:

So, I can understand why the poster thinks of women when they hear the term.

Although, by this general definition, men can most certainly be pooh-sized.

But then again, most of the answers about what constitutes "pooh-sized" were given in women's sizes.... Hmmmmm....

I consider "pooh-sized" a nice way of saying "fat".

Pooh size means you need help from Christopher Robin and friends to get out the door when you visit Rabbit after having all that honey with tea ;) . Somedays, I feel like that.....I actually do describe myself as a pooh-size person, I wear anywhere from a size 20-24.
