I just found this thread and I LOVED reading it! Both times we have been and met characters, I never know what to say or do with them, so I'm just boring and get pictures. The first time we went, we had my boyfriend then 6 year old with us, last year we had his 12 year old with us. The 6 year old had much more fun with it all, and the 12 year old looked completely mortified that she had to wait. I'm sorry, I paid for the tickets, I like getting pictures with the characters!
When we took the 6 year old, he did some cute things with the characters. He asked Rafikik where his stick was at, and he motioned that it was back in his tree house. He asked Goofy if he knew that he was his favorite, and Goofy nodded yes. When we left, Riley said "Remember, you're my favorite" and Goofy tapped his head like he would remember. The cutest thing was when he met Minnie. He walked up to her and said "So, uh, I hear Mickey is your boyfriend." and she nodded. Then he said "Ya know, he's, uh, right over there." Minnie turned and looked, then held her hands to her heart. It was so cute. Then he started singing Hakuna Matata to her, and she was dancing and loved it. After we took the picture with her, I started walking away towards my boyfriend. We turned to make sure that Riley was behind us and there we see him, just hugging Minnie and not wanting to let go. It was so cute.
When we went with the 12 year old, we got to meet a few of the princesses. That was my favorite part. I remember as we were getting ready to take our picture with Jasmine and Aladdin, Jasmine asked if my boyfriend was our royal photographer. I thought that was funny. Minnie had to work hard with Brittany, but she did manage to get a smile out of her when she kissed Brittany and then me on the cheeks.
I think the funniest encounters was one we watched. The people in front of us meeting Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum were trying to get the little girl to get a picture with them. She looked maybe 3 or 4 and she was scared out of her mind. One of the people with the little girl was trying and trying and Tweedle Dum wasn't helping any....when the little girl wasn't looking, he started lurking up, tip-toeing behind her. The other person in the family, the one taking the picture was just dying of laughter. They finally got the little girl up between them, with I'm guessing her mommy, holding her. Right as the other person (we're assuming it was grandma or an aunt or something) took the picture, Dum reached over and touched the little girl on the shoulder, and the look on the little girls face was priceless!
