I'm sure there will be someone who will do it.

So far, 6.6% of the people who responded to this poll have said yes. If that percentage holds across the general public, and 40,000 people plan to attend the MK on any particular day, that means that 2,600 people would want to do this. That sounds like a "sell out" of the event to me. Even at what appears to be an untenably low percentage of willing participants.

That would be me that guessed 750! :) I feel validated coming from you, an "insider". LOL :D

I think on the other thread, someone said capacity at Pinocchio's is 400? So if there's a rush after 9 am for everyone that got their fill of early access to rides, and maybe 1/3 of the people choose to just skip the breakfast, there's a chance they could fill to capacity - and then what - they make people wait to come inside for their breakfast? That is a disaster waiting to happen. Maybe a 750 limit is too high? But you know they'll sell as many as they can. I just don't get the math on this one.
Right .. I don't see them offering this to many more than the capacity of the Haus. Since it seems (for now) .. it is just a "come when you want" breakfast, I don't think they want (or the purchasers of this event) would expect to WAIT for a table.

Definitely some will skip the breakfast.

To me the breakfast puts a kink in that .. Spending time to eat breakfast (unless you can squeeze it in 8:30-9:00) potentially wastes the time you paid money for to have. It also wastes your golden opportunity to beat the RD crowds to any other ride in the park (Space Mountain, BTMRR, etc.).

For me I would be torn with this offer. I'd want to spend some of the time in the morning taking pictures and just enjoying the emptiness of the park .. then I'd hit the rides at least once (maybe twice) . .and then try and cram in breakfast between 8:30-9:00 so I can then make my way to any other ride in the park at RD.
Feels like (unless the capacity is REALLY REALLY low) that breakfast could be a nightmare with a lot of people trying to eat from a buffet ALL at the same time (and trying to be quick?)

I emailed a while back to complain about the short notice for the night event (since I had to plan my days 190 days out!) and got a call back. The lady I talked to have me her info for if I had any more problems or concerns. So, I called about this event. I just wanted it noted that I believe that they have the right to these events, but I believe they should have given more notice. I might have planned my trip differently had I known....

Anyway, she said that she really didn't think I'd notice at all, bc it will be so limited. She said she couldn't give an exact number, but did say under 500 (which I hope is true, but not sure I believe it). Her reasoning was for home many people PVH could accommodate for the breakfast.... So not sure if she knew something, or is just guessing like the rest of us. Just thought I'd throw it out there!

I hear ya on breakfast timing - but my guess would have been squeezing it in between 9:30-10. Now, if you're trying to squeeze in a ride somewhere outside of FL, then you'd have to circle back to get your breakfast (because if I paid for breakfast, I'd want to eat said breakfast). I wouldn't want to give up my exclusive time between 8:30-9, unless I got all of the rides I wanted within that first 30 minutes. But that seems unlikely. Personally, if I paid that premium, I would want to ride 7DMT maybe twice and PP once (no interest in Pooh). That's a lot to accomplish in 30 minutes if there are 500 people in the queue ahead of me.

My husband and I just booked a last minute trip for a long weekend over Memorial Day weekend. I booked this immediately! That Saturday is our only one in MK. This way we open up fastpasses that we were going to use for Peter Pan (my weakness, I will wait over an hour for this) and Mine Train and get on these at least once each (but hopefully a lot more for the price!). I plan to head right into Fairytale Hall to meet Anna and Elsa at 9 AM to beat the rush (no fastpasses were available with our late booking) and then head over for our buffet breakfast. Since we don't have to finagle with kids I'd assume we'll be outta there in 20 minutes or less and we can finish up the rest of what we want to do in Fantasyland and be on our way! The park is open til 11 PM that day so now we'll have a full day from 10 AM til 11 PM to not even have to bother with Fantasyland! And now I have fastpasses for other rides that could be super packed. Win!
There is no place for reasonable posts on here! This is an evil plan made up by evil people so they can spread more evil across an already evil amusement park. Please get with the program before posting more nonsense like that!

I'll just follow up my initial post by explaining why I think it's a bad deal ... Not just for me, but for pretty much everyone.
You'll have about 90 minutes to do those 3 rides, only two of which are ones that you would not be able to get as a fourth FP. During that 90 minutes, you'll be standing in line with anyone else who paid the premium early admission charge - Disney has not quantified that and probably won't, but I have done several "limited availability" events and they were all very crowded.
You won't be able to do anything but those rides- although it's possible you will spend the entire time waiting for one or two times on each.
Then, at 9 am, the unwashed masses will enter the park. You'll be done with those three rides, so you won't be adding to their wait - and while they are maximizing their early morning park time (with all the rides open), you'll be standing in line for your continental breakfast - eating during the most valuable touring hour of the day.
Just my two cents ... But I can't see this thing working out and becoming popular.

it's not a bad deal for pretty much everyone, when 6% of this small percentage of Disney customers have said yes, they will buy it. It's a bad deal for most of us on the DIS. I don't have any interest in those 3 rides, or the breakfast. But some do. I can see some people who couldn't get FP for Mine Train doing it just to get onto that ride without waiting.

I don't understand why people who make ADRs to get into the park early have a problem with someone else essentially doing the same thing by booking this reservation? If someone is willing to pay to get in the park early, then power to them.

I have to ask, is this another way for Disney to get money to help pay for the new park in China that they are having financial problems with. Because think people, you are getting magically ripped off.

How is this ripping anyone off? Disney isn't forcing anyone to book this. It's just an option for people who are willing to pay for the advantage of early entrance to the park. There is still EMH for Disney resort guests. If that wasn't the case, then I would have a problem with it.

They should allow them to have a lunch with an option of several different places after the morning event so they would not be rushed.

I agree that this would not be worth it for most, but I am taking a trip with just myself and DS5, and these are the three rides he enjoys the most in the park. If we can possibly ride them multiple times, and save our FP+ for other things, it is worth it for us. This was our one early day in the MK, and we were going to do BOG, mainly for the advantage to get to 7DMT. He will probably like this breakfast more, as long as crowds are low it shouldn't take very long, and we will still be able to head to another area of the park before 10 for a ride or two before using our FP+.

If this was a trip with the whole family, or a trip with one of my older kids, no way would I do it. We have been going to Disney once or twice a year, and only spend a limited amount of time each day in the parks. Obviously it will depend on how many tickets they sell, but I'm willing to try it.

This stinks! Of course, our first MK day is Tuesday, 5/31. And of course I made an 8:00 ADR at BOG.

So question: I'd like to keep my ADR just to have a less crowded entrance into MK on our first day, but will it help us with rides at all to be inside the park in Fantasyland before RD?

Agreed. The problem is Disney has let the ADR people on the rides early (most the time) so now people are used to it. Although, they need to realize this wasnt something that was guaranteed to them. If they want the earliest access to rides, they'll just have to pay a little more and get this.

Probably not without a wrist band for the hard ticket event. But since this is all new, of course no one knows for sure. It was good while it lasted. Sigh!

I wonder if they will do a welcome show at 9 after the early magic people are already in the park?????

I am trying to rearrange my schedule to avoid these days, but the only thing that would work is a regular extra magic hours morning which is fine. We are on property. We just normally avoid those days as a rule.

I allowed my kids to each invite one friend this year. Neither of these kids have ever been, and I really wanted them to see the welcome show at magic kingdom. We are only doing one park day at magic kingdom and would have to give up our BOG lunch and crystal palace dinner reservation to shuffle everything.
This is my question - we are going on Saturday, June 18th and really wanted to see the welcome show. I have no desire to go an hour earlier just to see it though.

I was just thinking about the "less crowded entrance to MK" . Um, it's going to be more crowded now depending on how many tickets they sell, because the pre park opening ADRs will be let in at 7:45 am along with the throngs of early magic ticket holders. Ouch.

I think there is a chance that the opening show will happen at 9am. I wonder if Disney has even figured out how they are going to handle it.

Or perhaps skip it all together. Don't they skip it on regular extra magic hours mornings?

I feel silly for actually considering this. May 17th, our first full park day, is my son's birthday. Magic Kingdom is the park he wants for that day, so there's not switching around days for us. Rope drop was going to be the main strategy for our plan that day and I'm not sure how this event would affect the plan. Can't beat 'em, join 'em?

Part of the reason I think this will have a more modest impact is that it will include a number of people who were already planning to do rope drop or had PPO breakfast reservations and are switching to this. That is, at least during the early days before news spreads and people have the ability to plan around it farther in advance.

Our first full park day is that day as well, but we won't be doing this.
