We just booked it. What the heck, riding three pretty popular attractions early and having breakfast is a pretty good deal. Considering the seating in the Village Haus, I don't know how many tickets they can sell, but we will give it a try. I do know this - if the early reviews for this (as well as the after hours party which we are also doing) are bad, WDW will have a tough sell going forward.

It doesn't make sense for me and Mom because I wouldn't be up that early for either an 8 AM ADR or EMM. It's also overpriced to me and prefer my own breakfast for quiet warm up time before people. I don't think they're adding enough people to MK to make this more than a blip. If this was a Peak time, maybe I would be more concerned.

Part of the reason I think this will have a more modest impact is that it will include a number of people who were already planning to do rope drop or had PPO breakfast reservations and are switching to this. That is, at least during the early days before news spreads and people have the ability to plan around it farther in advance.

Our first full park day is that day as well, but we won't be doing this.
What I'm hoping happens is that the EMM people ride in FL from 7:45 to around 9 and then go to their breakfast from 9ish to 10. They'll mostly be eating when the rest of us are let in at 9.

My big beef with it is this: will it be offered every morning that EMH is not offered? If so it throws a wrench in touring plans and value of pre-park ADRs.

It will impact anyone who has BOG or others with pre-park opening ADRs in hopes of riding 7DMT before rope droppers arrive. They will no longer be able to ride until 9 as the event folks have exclusive rides until 9 am ... and by then the rope droppers will have arrived.

This is us. As others have mentioned, I just wish there had been more notice (like, 180 days out!)... May 27 is our only morning at MK and we have a pre-park ADR at BOG. I would have arranged our ADRs and touring plans differently had I known. :( Unfortunately, $70/pp for EMM is out of our range, so we will keep our ADR and cross our fingers that we beat the rope droppers to PP!

So Monday at midnight was my FP+ window so I stayed up late to make all my selections. This was the last piece to finalizing our June plans. Then several hours later,Tuesday mid day, Disney hits us with the indefinite "delay" to ROL and night time offerings at AK....so back to the drawing boards, then later that evening the release of the the infamous early entry MK mornings on Tues and Sat...and obviously I had our first RD MK day slated for a Saturday in June...you have to see the humor in this right?! :lmao:

My son isn't tall enough for 7DMT so this is not an option for us now, but something we would consider in a few years. Were we to do it, we would ride the 3 rides a few times, hit up a few others in FL before heading to breakfast at 930. Then we would do FPs 10/11/12 and head out for a break.

I am super relieved that it's only two days a week, actually. I was assuming based on everything else they've done to separate people from their money these past few weeks that it would be an everyday occurrence.

If it proves popular, I can easily see Disney expanding it to three or four days a week.

I have both our MK days on Saturday and Tuesday :sad2: I have no idea what to do now so it is more like giving me a headache :headache:

This "sucker" realizes that, when you're crossing underneath the train, I'll already be at the back of the park, riding a ride or waiting in line while you get in line behind me.

How many people need to react this way to make this permanent? Yikes.

If it proves popular, I can easily see Disney expanding it to three or four days a week.

With a 1000 attendees on average they could generate an additional $14,000,000 a year at MK. Not enough to cover Staggs $18,800,000 severance pay, but it would put a dent in it.

I'm just having a hard time trying to guess how many people they will limit this to. It has to be worth their while to get these four locations (3 rides plus Pinocchio) operational an hour+ earlier than normal. I figure the incremental expenses are pretty low - breakfast foods won't cost a bunch, and the cast members are probably already there to get the park ready to open anyway. But they can't let in so many people that the lines get prohibitively long.

My guess is that, the first few days of this "event" will have low crowd numbers. People will get multiple rides on 7DMT, maybe without even getting off! Word will spread that it was "totally worth it". By mid-May, they will sell more an more tickets, but at some point, they'll hit a tipping point at which the lines are too congested, even with this "limited ticket" event. But make no mistake, Disney is going to push the limit as to the number they sell to maximize the profits. I just don't know what that number is.

Earlier, someone wrote that 7DMT can load 100 people in 5 minutes? Is it 100 people every 5 minutes? Then I guess they can probably get in 500 people, giving the people in the back a 20 minute wait? Maybe they can add another 200-250 people, assuming some portion of those people will go to PP or Pooh, or breakfast. But beyond that, you couldn't ensure that people won't have less than a 30 minute wait, can you?

Not sure what my point is. At 750 person cap (based on my math above), at an average price of $65pp, will Disney go through all this trouble for an additional $49,000 of revenue? That just doesn't seem worth it. But if you expand that out to twice per week over 52 weeks (presuming it works and they expand it year-round), that's $5.0MM of additional revenue. Profit margin might be high, but let's estimate 50%, $2.5MM of additional net income. Seems like a drop in the bucket. But, hey, it's Disney - squeezing out another dime for their customers. I guess it works. :confused3

Its only for one land. Limited expense. The entire park is open by 8:00 often in peak times. This way they only staff a small section until 9:00. They could be saving a lot of money besides collecting an additional $5,000,000 or more if they do more times a week and the number swells to a 1000 people.

I'm thinking not many resort guest will pay to this so maybe buses won't be crowded and it will make for a quick ride?

Why not? There aren't enough morning EMH days and those are recommended to skip anyway. Why wouldn't the onsite guests be just as inclined to pay?

So far, 6.6% of the people who responded to this poll have said yes. If that percentage holds across the general public, and 40,000 people plan to attend the MK on any particular day, that means that 2,600 people would want to do this. That sounds like a "sell out" of the event to me. Even at what appears to be an untenably low percentage of willing participants.

I was thinking the same thing. 1000-1500 would be an easy target to hit. Mind boggling.

We are not rope droppers so I would like to think most rope droppers will avoid MK for the days of the event and Mk will be less crowded during the day so we would probably take advantage of that but the whole thing combined with everything else is greedy and very off putting to me.

I would of thought so too but no change in recommended dates on either touring plan site....

This is really awful for offsite visitors. They have to deal with either this or EMH going forward unless they spend the money for the magic morning thing. However some people stay offsite to save money so paying for this negates that. Plus many offsite hotels offer free breakfast so that part is a waste of money. Therefore you might be left with one hour of ride time for three rides. Yippee.

But to each their own. I will not spend money for this because we haven't ridden Pooh in years and to us the 7DMT is only OK and we always get FP+ for Peter Pan.

I have to ask, is this another way for Disney to get money to help pay for the new park in China that they are having financial problems with. Because think people, you are getting magically ripped off.
You know the cost of the ticket.
You know what the ticket includes.
You make a conscious decision to purchase the ticket.
How are you getting ripped off? :confused3

If the cricket is lucky, no cost is too great.

Is this really that bad for 9am rope droppers? Won't most of the EMM people be at PVH around 9 or just after getting their breakfast if it is only being served until 10? Shouldn't be too bad at BTMRR and Splash M at 9 for rope droppers. Am I missing something?
