Thanks!! We are staying there for 6 days starting July 26th. We have only eaten at Cape May's for breakfast when we were staying at BWV last summer. I would love to know what you love about BCV. Are there things you don't like? We have stayed at SSR twice and BWV once so we are new to the DVC thing. :goodvibes

I like Cape May breakfast buffet, but I'm not a fan of SAB. It's nice being able to walk to both Epcot and Disney Hollywood Studios.

How long a walk is it to HS? I hope we enjoy our stay at BCV. I am sure we will but I was back and forth as whether to stay there or OKW because I really want to stay there too. I guess I can save OKW for next time.

15-20 minutes, tops. It's a nice stroll and you usually can beat the boat.

Art (the greeter)...The theming...The conservatory...The CMs...The location...The quiet room on the first floor of the villas...Dunes Cove Pool...The gift shop...Ummmm Everything!

WOW....this makes me excited. What is the quiet room????
Well we currently have 6 nights at BCV (Sat thru Thursday night) but I am thinking of just splurging the weekend points to add the other weekend night. if it is available. This reply kind of makes me want to. :goodvibes

I love everything about BCV's. Especially the walk from the villas, to the main lobby of the BC, to SAB. It is just SO pretty. All the sitting rooms, all the places to just sit and be quiet (although we've never had the time to just sit, this coming trip I want to take my coffee and just do that in one of these rooms!) I love going out to the Boardwalk and just taking in the view, it is out of this world. I love having the option to take those fun boats to the parks, what a relaxing way to go. You'll LOVE this place.:)

Okay when you stay do you stay a full week? I am trying to decide whether to waitlist an extra day. Of course that means 2 weekend days.

Exactly! Some specific spots are the rocking chairs on the porch outside the lobby, the sofas in the Solarium, and the sofa in the room in BCV by the pool (I can't remember the name now).

I expecially love hearing the automatic doors whoosh as you enter the BCV, then inhale. I don't know what that wonderful clean smell is, but it lets me know I'm home. BTW, I don't swim, SAB holds no appeal. But I love going over to the beach, taking off my shoes, and squishing my toes in the sand. Oh, and on the beach are a few swings. Sit in one after dark and watch the ferryboats go across in front of the Boardwalk.

DH and I enjoy the clambake dinner buffet.

I love the gardenias along the path when they are in bloom and fragrant. We have only stayed in studios, and I like the location best that views the canal. I love walking home from Illuminations. DH and I enjoy the villa pool as well as SAB. I love the lazy river part, and could stay there for an hour or more.:goodvibes We like it enough to have added on there...140 points of it is ours:love:

We've always stayed about 10 days. Our next trip, we're combining it with AKL for 3 days first, never done a second resort in one trip but really looking forward to that.
And yes, I forgot how much I LOVE to walk home from Epcot at night!! There is nothing like it. I remember when we stayed at POR for our first few trips (loved that place too, but not quite as much as this) I was always kind of jealous of all the people being able to just walk back to their room, how lucky they were. And now thats us too:thumbsup2 . All good things come in time, they say.

If I recall correctly, it took us about 20 minutes. It was actually faster than taking the boat if you factor in waiting times!

You will definately beat the boat, especially after Fantasmic.

The CM's at BCV are the nicest we have run into, especially the group that runs the BCV check in desk.

We love the ready-made food at the Marketplace, Beaches & Cream and the short walk to Epcot.

The Breezeway and the Drawing Room? The Solarium is over at the BC. But it's a nice place to sit and read as well. Lots of windows.

When they have the towel animal classes, they usually have them in the Breezeway.

Well, SAB is my favorite part of BCV but we also like the theming, color scheme, walking to Epcot and DHS, the butterfly topiary outside the lobby, Beaches & Cream, the waiters at SAB who bring me Pina Coladas, the ease in going over to the Boardwalk at night for the entertainment, jogging around Crescent Lake in the morning, so many restaurants and gift shops within walking distance, the sound of the boats' horn, the friendly CMs, the new activities they have at SAB and on the beach...can you tell I'm a BCV fanatic?????

I did not know SAB had a Lazy River !
Assume there are tubes for floating ?

:cool1:

Now, it's not a miles long lazy river, but it's a loop that has strong current in places. Yes, there are tubes to rent. I'm easily pleased, but yes, I can spend an hour or so at a time enjoying the "ride." I don't mind going around in circles!

One of the things I love is the availability of food choices very near by. I'm always amazed when I read post about the absence of quick eats at the BC. Are you kidding, there are tons of food choices. My favorite ritual is early in the morning walk across to the broadwalk bakery and get some thing absolutely sugary and gooey (no calories at disney, isn't that great) and some coffee. Then I usually sit in those big white rockers outside the yacht club or in the solarium. It is one of the best ways to wake up and usually gets me started for the hustle and bustle of the day.
