What do you like to wear to the parks?

In warm weather it's capris in a light material that dries quickly, flip flops, and a cute Disney T-shirt. In the winter, if it's too cold for capris it's usually jeans (thin-ish denim as opposed to thick denim), a cute Disney T-shirt, flip flops with tabi sox, and one of my many Disney sweatshirts. If it's actually rainy which is pretty rare for when I go, I wear a Disney Spirit jersey and a waterproof Marmot 'shell' (wish they made had a Disney one!) and Merrill walking shoes with either SmartWool or Darn Tough sox. I guess I go in for comfort rather than style.

Well…I can’t believe I’m still two months away from my trip and I have my outfits all planned! Saturday is CA and I’m all about Avengers, Dr. Strange tee from Hot Topic, denim capris, and my super cool Dr. strange ears that I’m making. Avenger custom backpack I also made.

Sunday Is DL, and I’m Ariel all the way with the new Vera Bradley Metmaid croc sandals, Mermaid tee with aqua capri leggings. Just got my VB Ariel tote bag which is awesome. Top it off with Disneyland marquee sign Mickey ears.
Monday Is back to CA for half day before flying home and it’ll be Avengers again, most likely Cap.

July just can’t get here fast enough!!!

I am (already!) packing for Disneyland in August and Disney World in November. I have been buying themed t-shirts, stony clover fanny packs, new loungeflys, matching earrings...I am a bit obsessed. I dress relatively plain in real life and I'm also a nurse so I live in scrubs. When I go to Disney I feel like a different me emerges. I have a pair of MSEP ears on the way. I just find it fun. We had a 2020 cancelled Dapper Day so I might wear the dress I had bought for that in August, pictured here. For Disney World I have a whole Evil Queen themed outfit for Story Book Dining. I just try to have fun, an due as comfortable as possible 14099861831782-4.jpg

Great advice!! Same here, "comfortable fun" is a good way to describe Disney dress. Honestly there's a million different outfits guests wear to the parks. Out here in CA the weather is a little more predictable than FL, and of course much less humid so it's pretty easy to chose outfits.

Normally I'm wear basic nice t shirt and jeans with comfortable closed toed shoes. If it's cooler outside than a spirit jersey or light Disney jacket. Breathable cotton cloths and lighter colors are the best on hot days (or golf style polos with the sport fabric that cuts down on sweat)

Here's the dress I've been waiting to wear to the park for 3 years. I have a whole outfit for it including matching sneakers and a Disney castle purse I made.
I don't like halter style dresses, so I attached the straps to the back of the dress. Now it's just like a sun dress.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to the parks but when I went, I wore shorts and tees/tanks in warmer weather and jeans and hoodies in cooler weather. I would wear running shoes or one of my comfy shell toes and dress in layers. I’ll be back at the parks again soon and plan on wearing a comfy romper with a hoodie and comfy sneakers. I’ll be wearing a hat too.

That’s really cute! I love your outfit.

I'm all about comfort AND Disney, so I usually wear one of my Raw Threads Disney themed shirts. I have about 7. I have had a time lately finding comfortable, well fitting official Disney merch t shirts. Literally EVERYTHING is either cropped or Hi-Lo style these days.

I am almost always in quick dry shorts or capris. I'll wear stretchy jeans or leggings in the winter.

Sneakers, always. I have foot issues.

My outer layer for chilly evenings is ALWAYS a Disney item. I have numerous hoodies, sweatshirts, and a spirit jersey.

I have a zero tolerance policy for being uncomfortable in a theme park. I don't care what I look like. I'm there to have fun, nothing else.

We are pretty basic with either jeans/shorts and Disney-themed t-shirt. But I usually try to get the family to stick to a similar theme each day (e.g. all Marvel shirts, all Star Wars shirts, all Mickey shirts).

Normally jeans or crops, and a Disney t-shirt, my most comfy athletic shoes. But occasionally we’ll Disney Bound. April 21 we were denizens of Black Spire Outpost. The Dis photographers went crazy, esp. they guy by the Falcon.

You both look great! I have a Batuu style costume I wore to Star Wars nite and I was thinking of wearing it to Galaxy's Edge one day during our June trip. I wasn't sure if it's allowed, but I assume it is since you were able to wear your outfits. I love your belt.

I like to wear lightweight pants (like dry fit style) and then whatever top would be cute. I don't like wearing anything short on my legs because I can't stand sticking to the seats, especially on Splash Mountain. But wearing light pants allows for them to dry quick and no sticking. Most yoga pants go good with any top anyway.

I do comfy - Disney style. I usually wear a Disney themed Raw Threads shirt and always wear a Disney themed Sparkle Skirt. I haven't been to a theme park without wearing a Sparkle Skirt for years - they are just so comfortable and cute. For the evenings, I bring a Disney sweatshirt or jacket of some kind whether it's one of my RunDisney zip-ups or my Capt. America jacket. I also have a variety of Disney themed hairbows that I have gotten from a shop I follow on Instagram that I try to match with my shirt and skirt.

I see people posting about wearing dresses. I've thought about it for hot weather but I worry about a dress 'flying up' or getting caught on something and 'revealing more than I want revealed'. The thought of wearing a pair of short shorts or yoga shorts under a dress isn't appealing, since the point of a dress would be to be as cool as possible and adding another layer would sort of defeat the point.

Dress wearers, is this a problem or am I worrying about a non-issue.

PS I'm of a 'certain age' so I'm not talking about wearing a mini/short dress. I'm talking about a 'floaty' just below the knee skirt or dress.

I have the same concerns! I regularly wear flowy skirts in summer here (Dallas, TX area), but they DO have a tendency to fly up in the wind, so I have to keep a hand on them. I am tempted to try one in the parks because they are so comfortable and breezy, but I am pretty paranoid about a fly up happening!

Personally I have always worn shorts whenever I wear skirts or dresses for the same reason (Inside or outside of Disney). For me it's worth the extra layer to not have to worry. I either wear lycra shorts or "sports"/swimming type shorts. That way I can run, twirl, jump, sit on the ground, go on rides, etc etc without ever worrying about showing anything to anyone hahah
