My cricut has officially died I am going to get a cameo come Christmas. I also have enough cartridges, gypsy, etc. That I still would like a cricut too. Darn you provocraft. So here is my question. Do you think that an older expression (still new just not an E2) will work with the original SCAL??

Just trying to decide. I am thinking since its not E2 and an older model it might work. Plus my SCAL is the original, not SCAL 2. Just curious on others thoughts?? If it isn't compatible I would probably opt for the E2. I will probably never buy another cartridge in my life though, so E2 isn't super important to me either.

It should be fine. If your going to upgrade to a cameo soon, I would try getting a cricut second hand. There are lots of ppl that never used theirs. Also upgrade to scal 2. You won't regret it. Plus when you get your cameo you can upgrade to scal 3 for free for your cameo! It's awesome cause I can use all my files still.

I also have MTC that I use a lot more than scal. I may upgrade some day? I have had no luck finding a used cricut in what I consider a good range (mostly $75-$100 with shipping- no luck with Craig's list either). This one comes with two cartridges that I already own and may sell on eBay?? Then the cost difference between a used and new cricut is minimal. Fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed. I can keep a look out for you too. I've seen a few but I'm not in the market. I bought mine New right before e2 came out for $150 I think. No carts.

Do you have an M's near? I saw the pink journey one the old one at an ms the other day. Decent priced.
