If you are arriving on an early morning flight, or driving in early, I assume you can book the night before and use the points, so that your room is ready when you arrive. They wouldn't cancel your reservation if you arrive 'late' right?
We had that happen to us once on a trip at a Marriott property in Puerto Rico. Our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive until the next day and they had cancelled our reservation. There were other rooms available, but they re-booked that room in a specific category for someone else. I probably should've called.
The flights to leave a day later than initially planned are a significant savings, almost $300 per person cheaper. So we are taking the first AM flight out the next morning and arrive to MCO at 8:20am. I'd much rather just keep our reservation as is, and walk straight to our room, drop off our bags, then take a quick nap before lunch and going to the parks.
I assume this is okay? Just want to make sure I ask before we try and and Disney re-books the room as a 'No-Show'.
