What do you do after parks close?

As soon as I read the title of this thread the first thing I thought was "SLEEP!!":rotfl: Glad to know I'm not the only one!

Too often after the parks close we realize we never stopped to eat dinner, so usually we head back to our resort, grab something to eat, and then are going to sleep soon after!

Honestly, I am all about relaxing in the room or resort/pool jacuzzi after a day at the parks. But I also like:

Rick's bar/club at Coronado Springs
Winter/summerland mini golf
Jelly Rolls or just strolling on Boardwalk

and as someone said.. "closing" the parks. We took our sweet time one night at EPCOT and got amazing night time pics of the various countries with no one in the shots.

OMG, These are my 3 choices of what to do when the parks close for my upcoming trip!

How do you like Rix bar? Does it get crowded in the later evening & is it mostly conventioneers?

Rix doesn't get too crowded. Fun music, good food. It kind of is a little gem that it seems not too many Disney people know about unless staying at CSR. Though, it did appear like there were more locals there. It is really nice inside too.

pre-kids we used to always do one night at PI - specifically the Adventurers Club ... that place is a hoot :rotfl2:

.... this will be our first trip with a LO and while we are bringing my MIL with us to baby sit some, I am sure most nights we will just rest

With regards to closing the park, one thing to note (unless this has changed) is that as long as you are in line for a ride before the park closes, they let you go on the ride ...

... one time we got on line for Space Mountain about 10 mins before the park closed, and there was about a 40 min wait -- so it was almost an hour after closing by the time we were done and it was neat to walk around the park with pretty much nobody there

I'd be going to get some sleep so that I could be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the morning. But that's me.

If I wanted to be out and about, I'd go to Jellyrolls and hope for show tunes or over to CityWalk and have me a Cheeseburger in Paradise.

Go to bed...I'm exhausted after spending a whole day in the parks

You must go to Port Orleans Riverside, to the lounge called the River Roost and go see Yehaww Bob Jackson. He has a great piano sing a long show. It's family friendly as well.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 YUP A MUST DO!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

DH and I like to go over to DTD and visit the outside patio at RR for a relaxing after dinner drink. Also, a great place to people watch.
We stay at POFQ and love to vist the Scat Cat Lounge and listen to Elliot Dyson!

DTD as everyone's said, Boardwalk or resort monorail hopping- you can usually get some really great LATE ADRS- I think we've had dinner ressies at Ohana and Chef Mickey at almost ten pm before but don't quote me ;)
Somewhere in there in the middle of the trip (OR the night before a really long day) it's nice to stay at the resort and either pool, hot tub, or stay in the room.
Usually I load up a bunch of TV I haven't had time to see, movies I haven't had time to watch etc to either my Ipod or Laptop. Robin Hood on the BBC has been my "Florida show" for the past two years LOL. Never get CLOSE to finishing the series on vacation- but it's nice to know I've got something to relax with besides what's on the hotel TV.

The other thing I do very quickly- and this coming from someone usually up til 2am- is readjust my clock and go to bed a bit earlier then normal so i can get UP earlier.

Definitely DTD--it's busy on the weekend w/ locals. Great for people watching.Having a frosty beverage or two:thumbsup2. Late night pool swim is great also.

We hang out in the parks till the crowds are gone and get great Pictures.
We also like to take the bus to Old Key West and then the boat ride to DTD. We do love hanging at the resort by the pool as long as it is not cold.:goodvibes
