What do you do after parks close?

Other than two nights with EMH's, the latest a park is open during our visit is 9pm. We're used to the parks being open later, so are wondering what everyone suggests to do after the parks close.

I'm thinking DTD, Boardwalk, miniature golf, and as a LAST resort-going back to our resort and hitting the pool or relaxing.

Anyone have any other suggestions for us?

Your suggestions are spot on as far as what we do. Hit DTD for some Ghirardelli ice cream and just chillax a bit as well as the other ideas you have.

Definately DTD; I stay at POR and take the water taxi over just about every night. I either get a drink at the bar at Rainforest Cafe or get dessert at Ghiradelli's.

Downtown Disney is probably going to be your best option. There is plenty of stuff to do there, and many of the shops are open late. Your other suggestion of Miniature golf is also a good one. I still say DTD is your best choice.

You could also book a late dinner reservation as well.

Have a magical day.

You must go to Port Orleans Riverside, to the lounge called the River Roost and go see Yehaww Bob Jackson. He has a great piano sing a long show. It's family friendly as well.

:wizard: We either go to DTD and have some Ghiardelli's or we make later dinner reservations at restaurants at the resorts so we can walk around the resort after dinner.

Used to go to the Adventurer's Club a couple of times a trip, but now Jelly Rolls gets all our evening business.

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and the Cirque du Soleil are great choices.

Collapse from exhaustion?:rotfl:

I must be getting old.:lmao:

Me too! :)

We usually "close" the parks and linger as the crowds thin out. Head back to the resort and chill there. Swim, arcade, play a game, check out our stock of souvenirs, plan for the following day.

You could do mini golf at the fantasia course and then walk over to the boardwalk for jelly rolls or the atlantic dance hall or just for ice cream and boarwalk entertainment!

With or without a kid, I always enjoyed spending an evening resort hopping at the monorail resorts. We might eat at one resort, visit an arcade or bar and maybe a few shops and then head off to another resort.

With kids, Fort Wilderness is fun in the evenings.

Like a few replys back, we slowly head out of the park at closing time, looking through the shops and stuff. Then we head to the resort and if Bob is playing at the lounge we watch him (POR). Then we watch a little tv or swim or look at the merchandise at the shop and then we head to bed. Perfect ending to a perfect day:woohoo:

Honestly, I am all about relaxing in the room or resort/pool jacuzzi after a day at the parks. But I also like:

Rick's bar/club at Coronado Springs
Winter/summerland mini golf
Jelly Rolls or just strolling on Boardwalk

and as someone said.. "closing" the parks. We took our sweet time one night at EPCOT and got amazing night time pics of the various countries with no one in the shots.

We go to DTD, or go back to the resort and go swimming!
