What do/did you call your grandma?

For me, it was Nana & Papa and Grandma and Grandpa.
For My kids it is Grandpa and then Pepere and Memere

DH called his Nannie and Grandpa George, and Grandma and Grandpa.

I called my Maternal Grandma "Meme" (pronounced May-May ~ sort of)...french for "granny" ~ she lived in France.

I called my Paternal Granda "Nonna" ~ she lived in Italy.

I never got to meet either of my Grandfathers.

My sons called my Mom "Meme" & neither have met my husbands parents so they don't call them anything. (Long story!) My Dad passed away when I was little, but I do talk about him & refer to him as "Pepe" (which would almost sound like Pay-pay).

I called my mother's mother, Maw Maw and her father Paw Paw

I called my father's parents Grandmother Hine and Grandfather Hine.

I called my mothers grand parents Mama Strickland and Papa Strickland. I was blessed to know my great grandparents.

I often wonder what my grandchildren will call me. If I ever get me any grandchildren, I don't think I will care what they call me :)

I called mine Gramma and my great grandmothers were Granny and Nana.

My boys call my mother Bing and MIL was Grandma.

When they talked about MIL they said Grandma Bitzer as not to be confused with my Gramma who the called Gramma, too.

Me...I had a "Grandmother" (you'd get popped if you called her anything else :( ) and a "Grandma and Granddaddy"

DH had a "Grandma" and a "Meeme" and "Papa"

My kids have a "Gramma" and "Granddaddy" and the other set is...get this..."Babe" and "Poppy"

"Babe" is very young-at-heart and just couldn't have been a "grandma". She loved what 2 of her neighbors were called...one is "Babe" and the other is "Honey". She loved that she'd always feel cute and fun if people were calling her "Babe" so "Babe" it is! We all call her that, now!!

Others in our family...Nana and Papa, Skipper and Nana, Mom and Pop....

My DD calls my mom Nana and my step-dad Paw. She calls my MIL Gramma and we never see my FIL. My niece calls my MIL Memaw (which I hate) and before that my nephew called her Grandmow because hat is what he thought he was told to call her. ~KPmom:wave:

My grandma was "mamaw." She passed away Dec., 2002 :(

My kids just say "grandma."

They were my mawmaws. One was MawMaw her last name, the other was MawMaw her middle name.

When my mom became a grandmother, she really wanted her grandkids to call her Grandma-ma (like on Bewitched). But my brothers kids always made it sound like grandma, so that's what she's been called.

I call my grandfather Nono Ture (Grandpa Sal) and my granmother was Nona Paulina (Grandma Paula)

I called my Mum's Mum Grandma & my Dad's Mum Gran

However, my children only have the one & she is Grandma

DS calls his grandmothers Mima (prounounced Me-Ma), he calls his great grandma, Gram or Grammy and his other great grandma, Grandma Last Name. He calls his grandfathers pop-pop and grandpa.

I call my grandmother Nana.

My daughter calls my mother Nana (last name) and my mother in law Nana (last name). My husband does the same with his nanas. :D

I had a nana and a grammy.

My kids have nana and bumpa, and grammy and grandpa. They call their great grandparents mimi and ole bumpa

I only knew 1 of my grandmothers, and only for a few years, but for some reason I remember we all called her by her first name. I dont know why. Maybe she wanted it that way?
My kids call my mother Grandma, and MIL Nana.

We called my Mom's mom Gramma or Gram (never knew my grandfather, but when referring to him, my Mom also said Grandpop, so that's how I refer to him) and my Dad's parents Grandma and Grandpa last name.

One grandma was called Grandma, the other Ma. :)
My DS's call my Mom Grandma Barb, and my MIL is Abuela.

I called my German grandmother "Oma". I planned to have my children call my mother that but for some reason they have always just called her by her first name. She doesn't mind. She says she is really too young to be a grandma anyway. ;)

When I was younger my great grandmother was still alive so I had a Gran, a Granny and a Nanna as well as a Grandad and a Grandpa. It used to really confuse the other kids at school because no-one else had three grandmothers.
