What do/did you call your grandma?

For me growing up we called bother out grandmothers Nonnie and our grandfathers grandpa. My step-grandmother is Nana.

My kids use grandma and grandpa for both sets and Nana for their stepgrandmother.

Although in my house "steps" are not allowed. ;) Nobody uses step grandmother or stepmother. She's my mom (and best friend) and that's all their is to it! LOL

My mother's mom was called Sito & father was Jido (both Syrian)
My dad's mom was Grandma & father was deceased when my dad was young, but he would have been Jaju (Polish)

My mom is now called Sito. And my dad is now called Jaju.

The in-laws are called Grandma & Grandpa. That's when we see them which is rare, thankfully.

One set of grandparents are Grandma and Grandpa, the other set were Mamma(Mumma) and Papa.

I called my grandma "Gram". My kids called my mom "Grammy" and call DH's mom "Grandma *last name*".

I am wierd, because mine were Gam and Bop. My kids called each one Gramma and Grampa.

:D

My mom's mom is called Grammy and she herself is called Grammy by my nephew.

My father's mom was called Ninnie because my oldest sister couldn't pronounce Nannie. I think it's such a cool name because no one else I know ever had a grandmother they called Ninnie.

She'll always be 'grandma' to me, but perhaps 'old woman' when she's cranky. :teeth:

I've got my fingers crossed for you Elaine that you will indeed become a Grandma soon.::yes::

I just found out a couple of weeks ago that yes I will be a Grandma (for the first time) this November and I'm so excited.:bounce: :Pinkbounc

When my Grandmother's were alive I always called my maternal Grandmother...... Gran..........she was the most influential person and the most special person in my world and although she's been gone 25 years I still miss her soooo much.:(

My paternal Grandmother was called Grandma *******(her last name) Although I wasn't that close to her she also was a wonderful lady.:D

grandma firstname. both of my grandmas have passed away. :(

My paternal grandparents were Grandpa and Grandma Babe-which was her name-not her real name(Alice) but everyone called her Babe, so she became Grandma Babe.
My maternal grandma was Grandma..or to differentiate from Grandma Babe-she was Grandma-who-lives-here (because she lived with us growing up).
Speaking to my grandmas, I usually called them both Gram, though.
My parents are Grandma & Grandpa to my kids, my FIL is Pop or Pop Pop. My MIL died, but I think she would have been Grandma Georgie...that's what we call her to the kids when we look at pics.

I never met either of my grandmothers, so I never got a chance to call them anything ... :(

Ds calls my Mom Ammie and DH's Mom Oma

I called my two grandmothers, Grandma and Nani

We call DH's Grandma Nana

I had a Nana (pronounced Nanny) and Papa

My other set was MeMaw and Daddy Bubba (this IS Alabama, you know)

My little girls have the following:

MawMaw and PawPaw

Grandmother and Granddaddy

Grandmama

I have no idea how to spell but it is pronounced Mah ma

I had one grandmother alive when I was younger. I called her Gammy.

My children call my Mom MeMaMa and my DH's mother Grandma.

I want to be Mummsy when the day gets here. I'm old enough - my children just aren't cooperating.

Congratulations to all of you becoming Grandmothers!!!;)

My brother became a grandfather for the first time last year. He inisits on being Pappy :teeth:
