This is what I call Beefaroni

If I make it - it's called macaroni with beef in tomato sauce. ;)

My Grandma used to make elbow macaroni with hamburger, sauce, green peppers and onions and we called it American Chop Suey. Is that a northeast thing?

My Mom always made that and called it goulash. My Mother In Law makes the exact same thing and calls it American Chop Suey. We are all in the NorthEast ;)

I was going to say the same thing. We call it goulash.

I like a lot of the things already mentioned. The only things missed are stuffed tomatoes, kousa which is middle eastern stuffed zucchini. You can stuff the little eggplants too. Warak einab which is middle eastern stuffed grape leaves, and moussaka which is popular in lots of Mediterranean countries. You can do it without the eggplant if you don't like it. The middle eastern version of the dish has thin sliced potatoes and tomatoes and doesn't usually have eggplant. The sauce you put over it is a tahini sauce.

Lizabu--thank you!! This sounds GREAT

....oh boy, I make KILLER Swedish meatballs!

Some really great recipes and ideas! Usually I use turkey, sometimes beef. Also I make meatballs with a mixture of ground beef, veal and pork....

.....to be more health-conscious, lately I've been using a mixture of 1/2-lb of 90% beef mixed with 1-1/2 - 2 lbs ground chicken breast.....

Double Cheese Delight, which is ground hamburger mixed with noodles, tomato sauce, cream cheese and cottage cheese. It's yummy, but a heart attack waiting to happen.

Not in any special order but the meals I make with hamburger are:

1. Chili
2. Lasagna
3. Shepherd's Pie
4. Meatloaf
5. Spaghetti
6. plain 'ole hamburgers
7. Tacos
8. Tostadas
9. Enchiladas
10. Sloppy Joes

Meatloaf, Tacos, Enchiladas, Hamburger Helper, Sloppy Joes, Spaghetti, and Hamburgers. I would use it to make homemade Chili but my family are all not big fans of Chili unless it comes out of a can and says WOLF on it.

add it to veggie soup
hamburger helper
hamburger steak with onions, mashed potatoes
soup: hamburger, cabbage, tomatoes, dark red kidney beans and spices
mini meatloaf (cupcake pan)
stir fry

What's cowboy beans? Sounds interesting!:)

My mom used do hamburger (ground beef) with elbow mac and we called it goulash.

Take 3-4 cans of whatever kind of beans you prefer, I usually use pork and bean, kidney, and navy, sometimes lima. Add a pound of browned hamburger, a packet of dry onion soup mix, a cup of bbq sauce and a cup of brown sugar. Bake till hot and bubbly.I usually serve this with potato salad or cole slaw or some kind of cheesy potato dish like the hashbrown casserole. I sometimes make it without the hamburger and just use it as a side dish when we grill.

Burgers
Tacos
salisbury steak (once in a blue moon)
meatloaf
hamburger gravy (just brown up the hamburger with onions, seasonings, then add in some brown gravy and throw it on top of mashed potatoes) Haven't had this in years but it's really good.
