Not in any special order but the meals I make with hamburger are:

1. Chili
2. Lasagna
3. Shepherd's Pie
4. Meatloaf
5. Spaghetti
6. plain 'ole hamburgers
7. Tacos
8. Tostadas
9. Enchiladas
10. Sloppy Joes

Hamburgers.

And about once a year that unhealthy Tater Tot Casserole.

Burrito pie/Mexican lasagna

Mexican stuffed jumbo shells.

"Middle Easterns" - a take-off of a sandwich served in a Metro Detroit restaurant years ago. Brown crumbled ground beef with some seasoning, stuff in pita pockets, top with chopped tomato, cucumbers, green onion and ranch dressing. Yum.

All that you listed, plus taco salad. I like to use ground turkey more. Especially when there is a strong sauce (like tacos, etc), you can't tell the difference.

Sweet n Sour ground beef with veggies over rice.
Meatballs (various types - with BBQ sauce; Swedish style; spaghetti)
Stuffed cabbage rolls.
Sloppy Joes.

And now I want a taco salad. :headache:

Taking oldest ds out for his birthday dinner and he chose Steak and Shake. lol

Most of what has been stated plus:

kefta pockets
beef stroganoff
goulash
ground beef and biscutis
chili mac
meatballs

And I am sure there are others.

Oh yeah, and stuffed peppers.

I think that's it.

When my middle DS would come home from college he always wanted me to take him to Steak and Shake. We still laugh all the time when once I accidently called it Snake and Shake!!:rotfl2:

Almost everything that's already been mentioned plus...

- DH's grandma's Spanish Rice, that isn't very Spanish, but very good.

- Kheema

- Enchilada Casserole

NOTE: I buy good, lean, ground steak. Not just hamburger...

Beefaroni (did this last night)

Beef stew/soup

Mexican Fahita over rice, grilled up in a hot skillet, with julienne onions and peppers, plenty of salt, chili powder, garlic, etc... serve over rice topped with come shredded cheese.

Country Steak and home-made Gravy (not often, this is not the healthiest!)

Swiss style steak

The Swedish dish, with Mushrooms (mushroom soup) and sour cream, over wide noodles.

One of the simpler ones, that my guys like...
I call it hamburger hash.... peel and cut up potatoes, fry with some diced onion in some oil... when this is half done, throw in the ground beef in large chunks.... plenty of salt... you can drain off some of the fat, and then add water (maybe a cup) so it doesn't get dry... Season with more salt, some garlic and paparika... Cover until done and is a nice hearty consistancy (not soupy).

My technique when browning burger for these dishes is to slice patty sized slabs right off of the package of ground beef. Cook, but do not over-brown... on a med to low heat... sometimes covered.... Stays tender and not all the small tiny pieces overly browned and rubbery from contact with the hot skillet. Then drain and break up the ground beef into the desired consistancy.

One thing I grew up eating is I guess what everyone calls Beefaroni.

Every 3 weeks or so we would have "Hamburger & Macaroni"

It was basically a pound of ground beef browned with a sliced up onion. Elbow macaroni was boiled then the Hamburger was added to it. Then Tomato Soup was added to that.

We grew up on that stuff.

To this day I still make that about once a month.

One thing we HAD to eat with it was white bread with peanut butter.

Is this what everyone calls Beefaroni?

If I make it - it's called macaroni with beef in tomato sauce. ;)

In addition to those: stuffed peppers, meatballs (for meatball grinders), and swedish meatballs.

I usually substitute ground beef with ground turkey.

Except...
Hamburgers and stuffed peppers

DH's favourite.

I think the only things I make with hamburger that I haven't seen listed are Korean Beef, Runzas, and Baked Bean casserole.
