What book are you reading??

I am currently reading "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser, and it is a really interesting book. Reveals alot about the fast food industry let me tell you...

Skuttle,
Your baby boy is adorable!!!!! Love that pic!:teeth:

Right now I am reading The Master Butcher's Singing Club by Louise Erdrich. Someone recommended it on the last "What are you reading" thread. So thanks! :wave2:

I would also like to thank whoever recommended the Amelia Peabody Series. I read the first one and loved it! Thnaks!

I also have All He Ever wanted by Anita Shreve, Flirting with Pete by Barbara Delinsky, and The Second Time Around by Mary Higgins Clark all waiting for me.

I love getting new ideas from these threads! ::yes::

Rereading Hummingbird by Lavyrle Spencer (and next in line is The Gamble, and Spring Fancy, also by her.) Waiting for a new book from CBD, but it is backordered!

Currently not reading anything. I want to read Harry Turtledove's third book in the American Empire series, The Victorious Opposition. It came out in paperback last month, but I haven't been able to find it. I'm going to try the last B&N that's close to me on Wednesday, and if they don't have it I'll probably just order it online.

Just finished "Odd Thomas" by Dean Koontz. Pretty good, if you like the thriller/mystery genre.

Reading the Harry Potter books to DD5- we're on "Goblet of Fire" right now. We are waiting anxiously for the next movie to come out June 4!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'm reading "Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister" by Gregory Maguire. He's the same guy that wrote "Wicked". Confessions is a different take on Cinderella from the stepsister's point of view. It's a great book so far!

Does "Fast Food Nation" make you never want to eat fast food again? I've wanted to read the book, but have heard that comment from more than one person.

Reading "Facing Fear" by Genita Low, but having trouble staying with it. Also "Money Secrets the Pros Don't Want you to Know" and of course, the "Unofficial Guide to WDW 2004".

I'm reading "Glorious Appearing", the latest book in the "Left Behind" series.

I absolutly adore Lavyrle Spencer! I have every single one of her books. Some of them are used because thats all I can find, but there better than nothing. I would give anything to have all of them in original hard copies. She is the best. I cried (seriously) when I found out Then came Heaven was gonna be her last book. Happy reading. :D

Us Military Spouses have good taste in books. ;)

I'm reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix (for the 3rd time!!)

Inner Harbor - Nora Roberts (book 3 of 4)
A Year By The Sea - Joan Anderson (book 1 of 3)

I think that might have been me! :) I hope you're enjoying the Master Butcher's Singing Club, Jenn Lynn. :) :)

I recently finished ~The Secret Life of Bees~ by Sue Monk Kidd (recommended by Gina2000, and a great book!), ~The Englishman's Boy~ by Guy Vanderhaeghe, and am now reading ~The Full Cupboard of Life~ by Alexander McCall Smith. TFCofL is the 5th book in the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series. :) :)

Thanks Snowwark! I am really enjoying it! ::yes::

I read Fast Food Nation and though it was interesting, I still have McD's once in a while. No more or less than before.

I just finished Elfshadow by Elaine Cunningham, an excellent fantasy novel about a half elven girl who kicks butt and takes names :teeth:

And Last Call by Laura Pedersen, a cute story about a terminally ill man who is obsessed with planning his own funeral, getting "closer" ;) to a nun he picks up in the hospital and teaching his 11 year old grandson everything he knows before he dies.

I'm reading Ransom by Danielle Steel:D And I'm also a real fan of Lavyrle Spencer's books too!::yes::

A Woman of Substance by Barbara Taylor Bradford. It's a huge book but very, very good. I also love Fern Michaels, Nora Roberts, LaVyrle Spencer...I am a total bookworm! :earboy2:

I finished Da Vinci Code Friday night. (I read the last half of the book Friday night...just had to get to the end.) Our church is reading The Purpose Driven Life...we're supposed to read a chapter a day, but I'm about 4 days behind...I know it sounds perverse, but I neglected it to finish Da Vinci Code.

Blow Fly by Patricia Cornwell, Im not as impressed with this Kay Scarpetta novel as I have been in the past. But its ok so far.

I'm re-reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and also reading The Great Train Robbery by Michael Crichton.

After these, I'm planning on reading A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
