What book are you reading??

After these, I'm planning on reading A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Oh my goodness.... I haven't thought of that book in years! (If it is the one i am thinking of! )..... I read it in college!.....P

I've been reading, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, but very slowly and just for fun. I read many of his plays in high school and college, but they are just so much more enjoyable now that I can take my time.

Also reading, Plan Of Attack, by Bob Woodward.

I guess Bush is right, he has certainly improved the economy.... at least as far as book sales are concerned. ;)

The Beatles As Musicians by Walter Everett, and The Music of George Harrison by Simon Yeng.:D

I didn't think anyone else would be reading The Complete Works of William Shakespeare but I see that I am wrong....how very strange

If you haven't seen the Kenneth Branagh version of Hamlet, it's worth renting after you read the play....it is really, really good.

Why is it so strange, on a board with so many members, for more than one person to be reading Shakespeare?

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks" William Shakespeare

Also reading "Birthright" by Nora Roberts. I love her books-I read all 4 of the "Inner Harbour", "Sea Swept", etc. series. But I recently finished "Lone Eagle" by Danielle Steel and I was so mad! Although I usually like her books, I can't believe the heroine put up with that guy and really loved him in that book. I've never read anything by James Patterson, wonder if I might like his books.

I'm reading the Perricone Prescription. However, I recently finished the Series of Unfortunate Events (all 10 books).

I meant that it was strange that two members were reading that particular collection at the very same time....considering it's not on the bestseller list right now or anything ;)

The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.

This is on my list of things to read, our Elders just read a Purpose Driven Church and we have been very blessed by the results.

Of course they count probably more than any of the other books on this list!!:D

Can any one else recite Goodnight Moon? (and my youngest is almost 9 now!)

I'm reading Memory by Lois McMaster Bujold I love the whole Vorkosigan Saga

Mission Of Honor by Tom Clancy.I really wasn't sure I'd like it but I was bored and my parents brought me a bunch of books so I just grabbed one and it is wonderful!

Good call on the book thread. Since I just put studying for my hardest final to rest, IT'S FINALLY TIME TO READ FOR FUN AGAIN!!!! :bounce:

I just picked up Summer Pleasures by Nora Roberts and can't put it down. Love her books. Can't wait to get back into reading something other than a text book for a while!!

I am re-reading the Left Behind series, on the last one. I'm on the waiting list for Glorious Appearing (read them too fast to buy it!). I also just finished Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz. I enjoyed it.

Also thanks to one of the previous lists, I just picked up the Diana Garabone (?) series starting with Outlander. I just finished the 3rd one, and will look to see if there are more at the library tomorrow.

I also just finished the latest Acorna book by Anne McCafferty. She is one of my favorite authors.

I probably read 5-7 books a week.

I haven't read Shakespeare recreationally, ever, and this is a Disney board, not a literary forum, so I for one am very surprised that there are two people reading Shakespeare on the same thread. And I am certainly not protesting in expressing my surprise at that? I think maybe the quote was misinterpreted by the poster?

In any case, my recent favorites: Afterlove by Richard Rosenbaum, The Kill Artist by Daniel Silva, and my all-time favorite, Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer

They are a lot better than some of the adult books that are out now!

I'm reading through a bunch of mystery/thriller/court-room drama type books I picked up at Goodwill. I just started a new one, and can't for the life of me remember the title. Abducted? I think? Darn. That's what I get for starting a book just before bedtime.

I'm all excited it is now yard sale season, though. Great time for me to stock up on books! Its been slim pickin's lately at the goodwill.
