What big events happen every March?

Besides college spring breaks? Thinking maybe 1st part of March might be nice to go. Am I right? Is the weather good then for swimming?

I will be there the last 3 days of Feb and first 5 days of March. Would love to know what people think of that time and were they able to avoid the following (no offense to any of them....just looking for crowd control!): cheerleaders, Feb school vaca's and March school vaca's.
And the weather!

Check your calendars for when Fat Tuesday and Easter is. Next year I think Easter will be at the end of March which might mean that some elementary schools will have early spring breaks. Also I think colleges spring breaks land in March. If Fat Tuesday land in March, then a lot of people from La. will be visiting as that is when their schools are closed. Hope this helps.
