What are your first world problems?

Our McDonalds is running a promotion where soft drinks are $1 regardless of size. I took my son there yesterday and ordered a medium Coke for myself. I ordered the medium even though the large is the same price because I "shouldn't" drink a large soda, but I have a hard time not drinking it if it's there. They gave me the large anyhow.

Wawa occasionally has all sizes of coffee for $1. I only want the smallest 12oz. size, because that's all I can drink before it gets cold. So I take the largest 24 oz. cup and fill it halfway.

The Eagles lost last night.

No, they didn't "lose." According to DH, they choked big time.

Made more so by the fact that California is finally getting some rain.

Or nothing else at Wegmans?

Ah, so it's Tuesday there already. How was your Halloween?
Tuesday today. Halloween was very quiet here. Unsure what was on in town last night. Today is Melbourne Cup Day so its been a long weekend and a lot of people go away.

Someone bought me something today that I really wanted for a very special reason but it's not the kind I wanted. It's a lifelong commitment and I can't let them know it was the wrong one.

*No, it's not a pet.

I don't know if it's a ring or not, but when one of my sons was going to propose to his girlfriend, I told him that he must find out from her exactly what type of ring she wants. She happily sent him pictures and they also went to a few jewelry stores. She showed him several kinds she liked and he picked one of them. Now she is thrilled with her ring and everybody is happy.

My brother-in-law and his family have invited me to join them on a Mediterranean cruise next August. I am trying to decide whether or not to go. I would love to be with the family, but the logistics of it all make me nervous.

Our dogs go nuts when people come to the door (hello, want some candy?!) so I'm stuck I n the basement with them while watching MNF on a 70" TV and a 5 tap kegerator across the room.

The problem: dogs are barking and my wife is cleaning the storage area so crap is strewn everywhere now. Oh, I guess I'll sacrifice.

:badpc: C'mon - you can't leave us hanging. Tell us what it is before "somebody" spins-off and starts a poll...:rolleyes1

No rings! Although I wouldn't mind if Dh added on to my lonely collection. ;)
Ill tell the story because I am very confident that they won't see this post or forum. I am truly grateful and don't want to hurt feelings because it does mean a lot to me. I hate being misunderstood though.

Growing up weeping willow trees were in my grandmother's yard and left lots of memories for us grandchildren. My grandmother passed away recently and I mentioned I wanted to get one in her honor. Well my aunt surprised me with one. Wonderful thoughtful gift. I just wanted a very small version of one but got a FULL sized one that will grow very BIG! My house and yard are small and in a development. It's not exactly what I wanted but I appreciate the thought and gesture.

That was a very nice thought. I can see how a huge weeping willow tree would be hard to fit into a small landscaping. That's a tough one. Maybe she wouldn't mind if you exchanged it for the small version.

Didn't see that coming - "tree" wouldn't even have made the poll choices!! :lmao:

Is the tree already planted? I like the idea a pp mentioned about "switching it out" for a dwarf-variety except I likely wouldn't discuss it with the aunt, I'd just do it. She may not even think to ask, over the years, why the tree hasn't grown full size.

I have season tickets for the Chicago Cubs they did not win the World Series at home. They have to go to Cleveland to win and I'll have to watch it on TV.

My twins are going on a three day camp tomorrow and I have to pack their gear.

I can't be bothered doing it.

And that's why there's always an other! ;)

It's planted already. It's small now and I'm sure it will take a long time to grow into maturity. If it survives that long with my black thumb I'm sure we will be dead and gone by then. Hopefully the next owners will love it or be able to rent a backhoe!
