Our McDonalds is running a promotion where soft drinks are $1 regardless of size. I took my son there yesterday and ordered a medium Coke for myself. I ordered the medium even though the large is the same price because I "shouldn't" drink a large soda, but I have a hard time not drinking it if it's there. They gave me the large anyhow.
The Eagles lost last night.
Tuesday today. Halloween was very quiet here. Unsure what was on in town last night. Today is Melbourne Cup Day so its been a long weekend and a lot of people go away.Made more so by the fact that California is finally getting some rain.
Or nothing else at Wegmans?
Ah, so it's Tuesday there already. How was your Halloween?
Someone bought me something today that I really wanted for a very special reason but it's not the kind I wanted. It's a lifelong commitment and I can't let them know it was the wrong one.
*No, it's not a pet.
My first world problem is I bought candy but no trick or treaters
Ring?![]()
C'mon - you can't leave us hanging. Tell us what it is before "somebody" spins-off and starts a poll...

I don't know if it's a ring or not, but when one of my sons was going to propose to his girlfriend, I told him that he must find out from her exactly what type of ring she wants. She happily sent him pictures and they also went to a few jewelry stores. She showed him several kinds she liked and he picked one of them. Now she is thrilled with her ring and everybody is happy.

No rings! Although I wouldn't mind if Dh added on to my lonely collection.
Ill tell the story because I am very confident that they won't see this post or forum. I am truly grateful and don't want to hurt feelings because it does mean a lot to me. I hate being misunderstood though.
Growing up weeping willow trees were in my grandmother's yard and left lots of memories for us grandchildren. My grandmother passed away recently and I mentioned I wanted to get one in her honor. Well my aunt surprised me with one. Wonderful thoughtful gift. I just wanted a very small version of one but got a FULL sized one that will grow very BIG! My house and yard are small and in a development. It's not exactly what I wanted but I appreciate the thought and gesture.
Went to the doctor it's just a cough. There is a cold that is ending with a prolonged cough going around. She gave me some prescription cough medicine and sent me in my way. These are verging on being actual problems and that's no fun...
Didn't see that coming - "tree" wouldn't even have made the poll choices!!No rings! Although I wouldn't mind if Dh added on to my lonely collection.

Is the tree already planted? I like the idea a pp mentioned about "switching it out" for a dwarf-variety except I likely wouldn't discuss it with the aunt, I'd just do it. She may not even think to ask, over the years, why the tree hasn't grown full size.
