A friend of mine has used Disney travel to also book her flights but she is not around to ask so I thought I would ask the DIS! :)

I am having a BEAR of a time getting flights to orlando from Boston for next April. I know that it is spring break for us, but Delta is showing $710/pp/rt :faint: I wonder if Disney can get us anything else for less??

I will give a call on monday...

I believe they were using AirTran the last I heard.

Did you try looking for flights out of either Providence or Manchester? I have flown out of both and I love them. They are much smaller than Logan. Admittably, I live near Manchester so I always fly out of there anyways. But I know a lot of people from Mass that fly out of Manchester also.

A second option is Jet Blue. Have they opened up their tickets for April yet? They fly out of Logan. Actually, I am flying them out of Logan for my Disney trip in October.

Jet Blue & Southwest only release flights a couple months in advance. I loved when Delta had SONG as you could always get a good flight at a decent price. Not so sure if that will happen anymore...

I wouldn't mind flying out of providence, but manchester is a hike.

thanks for the replies!

Wow. That price is ridiculus. I have tickets to Florida in March, only 240 with Delta.

This is early March though.

I got my flight to South Africa (boston to london to cape town) for 1400 round trip using Delta's partner.

Delta changes their prices each week, so keep trying. Most I've had to pay for a Boston flight to somewhere domestic is 350.

I booked with Disney a couple days ago - they mentioned Spirit so they might use them too, but actually booked us on AirTran from BWI to MCO roundtrip nonstop for 573.00 for three people. If you get a good rate quote from them, just know that they are considered retail tickets and you can't cancel them like you can with SW when a better rate comes available.

We went twice during April vacation week. The first time I booked in August and couldn't get anything I wanted. We ended up going Monday-Monday and making connections. The second time I booked as soon as it was possible -- 11 months out and got what I wanted on American. Now I think Jet Blue is your best choice unless you want to try Southwest out of Providence.

JESW,
I just checked Jet Blue's website. They are only booking through the first week of January so far. They definitely have many non-stop flights from Boston to Orlando. For her trip this fall, my sister watched Jet Blue's website to see when they would open up the tickets for her flights in October. As soon as they opened the flights on her return day, she was able to book her tickets on one of the Boston/Orlando flights for a very low cost. I believe that she got all 4 tickets for under $1000 or just about there. You need to look at them early though. I decided last week to join my sister & her family on their trip to Disney and when I booked my tickets on the same flight that she was on, the prices were definitely higher. However, for me, it makes more sense for me to take the same flights as they are since we can travel to the airport together. By the way, I think that you have to go to JetBlue's website in order to book your tickets. I know that Expedia & AAA don't carry JetBlue.

Good Luck & have fun!

Now that Song's gone, I generally expect to fly only Jet Blue (yeah, I know - Manchester/Providence - but by the time I pay for gas and parking, Logan is cheaper :)) since they fly to the places I expect to go.

Kayak.com is a travel search engine and DOES list Jet Blue flights. There's no service fee like with Orbitz, etc., because you when you find a fare you like, you click through directly to the service provider.

Thanks for posting the Kayak.com website, I drive down 99% of the time and have decided to fly down in Nov. Coming out of Long Island I have 3 airports I could go to but it helps to know where to start in trying to find the best flights, times, money value, Thank you :confused3
