What a lovely day I had.

It was our 1st wedding anniversary yesterday and we had such a lovely time. DH (Simon!) got home from work early around 4.30 with a bunch of flowers. We then opened our cards and pressies from family. He said I had to be ready at 6.00pm (AH!!). I was a little confused as dinner wasn't booked till 7.30. At 6.10 a stretch limo pulled up to take us to dinner!!!! We had a drive round Nottingham drinking bubbly and generally being very silly!!!
We then went to Lakeside, which is where we were married and had our reception. we had a gorgeous 3 course meal, I won't bore you with the details of the food. But it was delicious!!!
Simon gave me a gorgeous white gold ring with a tiny diamond in it. I gave him his pressies. Some silly bits, a key ring, a teddy and some dollars to spend on pin badges when in WDW. Then came the surprises. The re-hitchin ceremony at the Garden Grille and a limo to take us to our illumiNations cruise. He was very surprised that I had booked a limo in America as I generally don't like phoning people, let alone people in a different country! He is VERY excited as am I!!!

Anyway, sorry if I've bored you all! Just thought I'd share with all my new friends!!!

While I'm here i may as well say:

Wow, sounds like a great night Verity!!

I assume you didnt mean "lakeside" as in the shopping centre down here in Essex, but somewhere a bit more glam .

Some lovely gifts you exchanged as well...what fantastic surprises for your holiday! Cant wait to here all about it on your return. We booked the Re hitichin ceremony last year, but had to cancel at the last minute....will try again this year. Look forward to hearing all the details from you!!
