We're going to my step-daughter's house. I understand the menu will include

Turkey
Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes
Baked Sweet Potatoes (not candied or with marshmallows)
Roasted Brussels Sprouts
Roasted Carrots
Broccoli/Cauliflower/Cheese casserole. (I'm making this)

VERY IMPORTANT-Jellied Cranberry Sauce from a can with ridges on it

Someone is bringing appetizers, but I don't know what.

For dessert
Cheesecake (DW is making this)
Pumpkin pie
Maybe another dessert too

Oh yeah, I'm bringing something else that's de rigueur

This is my first year cooking Thanksgiving for the two of us - in the past year, we went to American restaurants here in Berlin serving Thanksgiving food.
I hope it will be the beginning of a new family tradition!

I am fascinated by the fact that almost everyone lists mashed potatoes rather than roast potatoes. I am attending a Thanksgiving ‘imposter’ supper tonight (in ). The hosts are cooking roast turkey, roast potatoes and macaroni cheese, which having read this thread seems akin to WDWs/UORs interpretation of a ‘full English’ breakfast! I am taking pecan pie, a Greek yoghurt cake and a bottle of bourbon . I hope that you all have a wonderful celebration.

Don’t always believe google. It’s just a persons way of trying to look fancy. Other than the dis I have never heard it in reference to a home cooked meal, and I’ve been around quite a bit. It’s what are you serving for Thanksgiving? A menu is a list of food and drinks offered along with a price offered at an eating establishment.
