DAS expiry and new travel party?

Our DD 25, was approved 51 weeks ago (from our first park day this year) for a DAS, but we were traveling with different people at that time. Do I need to re-register her before this trip, to assure that her Dad can be a part of her current DAS travel party? I hate to apply again--it is very stressful and confusing for my DD, who is cognitively impaired.

You can just use the chat function on MDE to update which guests will be included--I think the party size per attraction is still limited to the DAS holder + 3 others but you are able to change which 3 guests will accompany her on different rides. They need to have tickets and must be listed in the "Family and Friends" of her account for the CMs to add them to be eligible to accompany her.
I'm a bit confused about the timeline though--if I'm understanding correctly, she was approved for a DAS 51 weeks ago. If that's true, you'll definitely need to re-register as they are only active for 1 years. My other concern is that she must have been approved before Disney changed the rules increasing the time one's DAS is good for up to a year. Her DAS probably has already expired--either after that trip when her tickets expired or at best--270 days after she first used it. The CMs on chat on MDE should also be able to tell you when your daughter's expires, but I'd be prepared to make that phone call. Good luck and I hope this helps a bit!

I agree with above -- if she was last approved 51 weeks ago that presumably would have only been for 120 days and is now expired, requiring another DAS request for another visit. While DAS is now granted for up to 1 year for AP holders, that isn't an automatic extension if previously approved. It will be up to 1 year on the next approval interview.

I was able to add take away people to my DAS while it was still good at GR over the lest few months.

Thank you for your input. She was reapproved and the CM couldn't have been nicer. I just added a new party for her.

The issue is the OP’s is no longer valid as it was approved 51 weeks ago which was before Disney allowed AP’s to have theirs approved for a year.
