What’s for Dinner Tonight?

I’d love to hear what you think.
We used Barilla Red Lentil Spaghetti noodles. The consistency was tougher than regular noodles. It was like they weren't cooked long enough, but we followed the directions. I don't know, if cooking them longer would have changed the consistency. The taste of the dish as a whole was the same as usual. I didn't try them without the sauce, but DH said he couldn't tell much of a difference. We won't hesitate to use them again.

Went to a favorite Italian restaurant that we normally only go to for brunch. I started with their house salad and then had short rib pasta (something I wouldn’t normally order) Hubby had the pasta bolognese and a Peroni beer. We both left with over half our plates…boxed to go. Soooo rich. Oh, but we also had to try the homemade cannoli.

I said to hubs, here’s your breakfast lunch and dinner the next 2 days. lol 🤣

Hey guys-I finally made the Healthy Turkey Meatloaf. It's been too hot to cook, but I made it earlier today. I actually made two. The recipe called for 1/2 lb. of ground turkey but I could only find 1 lb. packages, so I doubled the rest of the recipe. I also omitted the lemon pepper because I only had Italian style bread crumbs.

I just realized they look like a couple of cow pies, but it tasted pretty good.
I think they look delicious! I LOVE turkey burgers and turkey meatloaf. I prefer it to ground beef. (I’m the only one in my family with that preference, so we do t typically have it.)

I keep mine mostly ground turkey but I add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire. I have tried breadcrumbs and it’s a little meatloaf like to me. I have also tried diced onions and peppers but found they didn’t cook enough.
Yum! Love all of those ingredients in turkey burgers. I sauté the onions up before putting them in the mixture. I will also sometimes add feta or some kind of shredded cheese. 🍔🦃

Do they hold together on the grill or do you fry them?

I add a touch of breadcrumbs and an egg. Form the patties, then refrigerate them for 1/2 hour or so. Grill or cast iron.

90% of the time I grill them on a gas Webber grill. In the winter I put them in a pan on the stove. I have never had an issue with falling apart but I make them a few hours in advance and let them chill. I find they hold up better when I chill them.
Thanks for the instructions. We made them once, but were afraid they wouldn't hold together on the grill. DH ended up frying them. It's good to know what to try in order to be able to grill them.

Busy day between doctor’s appt, farmers’ mkt and kitchen. Only bought 4 or 5 peaches from the market today; much of the remaining morning spent testing and doing physical and occupational therapy. Once I got into the kitchen needed to be mindful of the time so marinated some meats and called it quits.

Dinner was a cup of the leftover broccoli soup, some spare ribs and sweet potato waffle fries.

Last night we had pizza since it was a busy day in another state doing interviews.

Tonight I haven't decided if we are having the leftover burgers from Monday night or if I'm going to venture making lasagne in the air fryer.

BTW: Regarding the discussion upthread, I love turkey burgers and using ground turkey for meatloaf (with a bit of onion/garlic salt/powder) and also for the meat in my meat sauce when making spaghetti, I have also used ground chicken for this as well.
