We've booked the babies 1st trip and she's not even born yet! Dec 2010!

no rush! sounds like a busy time. can't wait to see the pics!

It is amazing how much Emily looks the same (obviously older). :goodvibes She is such a sweetie.

This summer sure is busy, busy!!

Hey Wendy! Hope you are all enjoying your summer! Can't wait for an update. I sure hope we are still going during the same time! :goodvibes

My baby Emily turned 4 on July 1st so we had a party for her at a private lake club that we are members at on July 3rd!

Overall, it was a successful party and everyone had a great time swimming and relaxing!

The next day (July 4th) we were invited to a party at Stephanie's (Charlefours) house to celebrate and enjoy some fireworks!

We had a great time on the 4th! Emily was eaten alive but the mosquitos though despite the layers and layers of bug repellant we put on her. On Monday, I counted 14 bites and she has an allergic reaction to mosquito bites, so she had 14 swollen welts all over her arms, legs and face!!:scared1:

As I stated previously, we are enjoying a very busy summer of fun! Here are some pics of the fun we have been having!

Enough horsing around, lets get to the nitty gritty!!:thumbsup2

Well, as I'm sure you are all aware, Disney extended free dining into December. However, not for the week we are planning on going! We could either check in a day earlier to get FD, or go the following week, but then we are moving into holiday season and the prices for the last 2 nights are through the roof!

Sooooooooooooo,

After thinking long and hard about it we have decided to go from Dec 9-Dec 15* with a room only ressie on the 9th and FD from the 10th-15th! (6 nights, 7 days) We are losing 2 days on our original trip, but we decided that is probably best since a) we save about $1000 and b) it will be Eva's 1st vacation and her 1st time away from home and her routine. For Emily's 1st visit to Disney we went for 5 nights and it was just long enough for her at 10 months old.

Making these changes has also allowed us to find cheap airfaire! We are flying Delta and paying less than $500 for all of us. As of now, I am planning on not checking any bags. We will take 3 carry-ons and ship our leftovers through UPS along with having food and essentials delivered by Garden Grocer. Hopefully that will save us some $$$.

*We still have our original ressie from Dec 3-12 and a second ressie for Dec 10-18. I'm holding onto those a little longer just in case other discounts are offered or I win the lottery and can afford airfare for those weeks!!:rotfl:

Somehow manage to get back into our routine!

At this point we have decided to skip AK. It's our least favorite park. If we decide to do it, we might add park hoppers so we can go one morning then switch to another park, but I'm not sure it's really worth it.

As always, this itinerary is subject to change at any time!!

Well, what do you think?:confused3

Hey Wnedy, not sure if you know this or not, but I know that free dining runs till the 2nd of Dec and then picks up again on the 10th, but I found out if you check in on or before the 2nd, you can still get the free dining for the entire length of your stay... You may want to look into that. Reese

Hey Reese! When FD was released, we did look into checking in on the 2nd but WL was booked and that's where we want to stay this time. I checked again yesterday and WL was avail, but only bunk bed rooms which add $500 onto the bill. Flights are more expensive those days too. :confused3 I'm keeping my options open though!!

The girls have been having so much fun this summer together. We are so glad to have met you!

I like your new plans--I hope Emily won't be disappointed with the shorter trip than what she has been going on lately. Then again, she probably will be excited just to be at Disney again introducing Eva to the World. :goodvibes

Great pictures ;)

Signing onto your PTR! Your kids are so cute. I can't wait to hear more about your December trip!

Gottcha! Just wanted to make sure you knew! WL was booked when I tried to upgrade in April!!! :scared1: Good luck!

Somehow manage to get back into our routine!

Mike is really into horticulture & hydroponics so I told him about the Behind the Seeds tour and he was intrigued! I did some more research and it turns out that all ages are allowed to do the tour, in fact they even give the little ones ladybugs to release at the end. Emily is much like Mike, in that she too loves gardening, so I think she will enjoy the tour too.

I'm also planning my unborn child's first WDW trip. :thumbsup2
He'll be born this coming fall, and we are going Oct '11. Do you think it's too soon to start a PTR??

I don't think it's ever too soon. You will probably have to get creative on things to write in your PTR to keep it going, especially in the early stages of planning, but there's plenty of help for that on the DIS. :)

Looks like a fun but busy summer. ADORABLE pictures. Your girls are just too cute.
I think the shorter trip would be better for the baby's first vacation. Your plans sound great! No AK?!?

Shhhhhhh!:ssst: :ssst: Don't tell Mike, but I just booked the Wishes Dessert Party for Dec 11th! I'm going to surprise him! Mike will LOVE it!:cool1::cool1:

Before they started doing the dessert party, we always grabbed a table at Tomorrowland Terrace to watch Wishes. This time, I'll be like, "Hey, lets go get a table in our usual spot!" and when we get over there and see the dessert party, Mike will be bummed we can't sit in "our" spot, but.......Oh, yes we can!!!:p:hyper:::yes::

Hi Wendy! I've been MIA but just got caught up on your PTR. Your plan looks great. I think the Wishes Dessert Party will be a nice touch. The pictures of the girls are way too cute. How fun that you and Stephanie have become such good friends after meeting here on the DIS. :goodvibes Love the lake pictures. It's one of the few things I miss terribly about life in MI. The lakes were always so fun. :goodvibes

Oh that is awesome!!! I would love to do the Dessert party, problem is a would gain about 100 pounds! LOL!!! :rotfl:

Woo Hoo!! :woohoo: I've marked my calendar to make an ADR at Via Napoli on Aug 6th! Now I just have to wait for La Hacienda to start taking ressies and I will be set! :cool1::cool1:

So much to comment on and so glad the kids are still sleeping so I have a minute to comment! :rotfl2:

I LOVE all the pictures from the summer. So many of them are just amazing. Eva.... OMG what an ADORABLE little munchkin. I want to hold her!!! So cute. Emily's Birthday looked AWESOME...... I loved her cake.

Ok onto Disney updates!! YIPPEEEE for saving money! I think shortening the trip in this case with it being Eva's first trip and saving all the MULA is the right thing to do!! BUT I see you are missing the WAVE and Artist Point now!? aww

One think I noticed and wasnt sure if you knew was that you mentioned getting park hopper if you wanted to go to AK.... Did you know that you can just get an extra single day ticket and its soooo cheap.... When we know that we will go to two park on one day but not every day of the trip it is so much cheaper to just buy an extra single day onto your package than the park hopper. Does that make sense?

Ok so how much is the wishes dessert party?? I am thinking that might be something fun for my crew of 14. :rotfl:
