Happy that M got her ride on WTP! Can't wait for pics of the BBB!!
We are too, just would like to get all the way through it!! BBB is coming up next!
The only time they don't do the opening ceremony is on early EMH (at least from my experience).
Nice!!
Loved the update. I have to say there are some rides that I like better at DL and some I like better at DW. In some ways I think it is neat that the front of the buildings in FL are still like they were at DL back when it opened cuz we can actually see what it is like but honestly I prefer the FL in DL. I love the way the buildings look and it reminds me of Europe. I can't honestly remember if the Peter Pan was any different other than having more of an inside que but I do remember liking the Winnie the Pooh a lot better in DW. I still prefer the Small world in DL though. I LOVE the building and I don't mind the new characters from the movies. I think I like a lot of "our" rides more esp NOS (since they don't have it) because it is what I am used to and what I grew up with. I think the HM there is neat but I still like the look of ours better. It's funny when I go to DL I don't necessarily miss DW but when I go to DW I ALWAYS miss stuff about DL like the rides that aren't there etc. Again to me DW is more like going to a resort and I love that about it because DL can get rough esp being right on Harbor but there are def good and bad about both. then again there are rides at DW that aren't at DL that I love. We love Carousel of Progress and of course the TTA. Oh and you probably already knew this but did you ever read about the different types of grounds like in Liberty Square the light patch that wanders through the street is supposed to represent sewage like it did back in the day. Kind of gross actually but funny LOL.
We were talking about the look of Fantasyland having the feel of
Disneyland in the early years. The façade of Small World is definitely lacking compared to the grandeur of Disneyland's.....but I really liked the inside of the ride at WDW. Maybe because it was different from ours and so I was fascinated with all the new things I was seeing. We only ended up doing it once on the trip so maybe if I had rode it multiple times, I would feel differently.....lol
The Pooh ride does have some nice additions we don't have in Disneyland, so bonus!
I agree, going to WDW is a resort vacation where Disneyland at this point is no different than going to Knott's, SeaWorld, Etc. Even staying "on property" doesn't get you away from everything and other than having a themed hotel, it's pretty much like staying across the street. (just more expensive). I wish Disneyland would incorporate the Dining Plan.
We knew about the Liberty Square two toned street, I was going to mention it but didn't.
They still do the Welcome Show on EMH days, just an hour earlier for EMH open. They do not repeat it for regular park opening on EMH days. And yes, it is a daily show.
Thank you for the information!! It reminds me of the opening show they do in ToonTown at Disneyland. Which is now going away to make room for Star Wars......heavy sigh!
