We're going back! Wait, you're parents are coming?! A Sept 2012 PTR! Update 9/10!

Hi, I'm just read all your plans! Sounds awesome :)

'Ohana was SOOO good, we are trying new restaurants this year but I loved it last time. We are also doing Coral Reef this year - my sister is so excited because she's an aquarium nut.

I have also never been on TSM!! Last time we were in DHS it was December 22 and CRAZY, and we made a fastpass flub and didn't get to ride :( I am definitely looking forward to it this time!!!

You and your BF are such a cute couple! Can't wait until I can visit the world with my DH...only 16 more months :rotfl:

 I might have to steal this idea ... if you don't mind :flower3:

Can't wait to see a pic ;)

Steal away!! Sorry it's taking forever to get around to posting the picture! I just laminated it on Sunday and I haven't figured out what to hang it with... maybe just some string? Or one of those little chains most key chains are on? :confused3 Don't want it to fall off! Should be getting a pic soon!

You and your DBF are a super cute couple.

Your trip sounds pretty great. You'll love CBR! It's one of my favorite places to stay. At night you'll have to lay in a hammock with your boyfriend and relax while looking at the stars. ((One of my favorite things to do)) I've always wanted to stay at the Poly too. I've never stayed there, but I got married there. I'd like to renew my vows and stay there someday. I can dream. ;)

I look forward to reading more. popcorn::

Thanks!! I'm excited about CBR. I think it's right up our alley! I know the Poly would be much nicer, but maybe someday! *sigh* Thanks for following!

I'm most excited for 'Ohana and Coral Reef I think!! We're getting closer! Still 88 days.. :hourglass

Joining in! Me and my family will be there from Sept 18-25 at POFQ. We're getting so close!!!!

Yay! Another follower!

By popular demand here's some goodies for the trip, including the LGMH I horribly fabricated! It's on the large side but I wanted to be noticed! :rotfl:

You can see how big it is compared to the bag I got at Wal-Mart but the bag really isn't very big either.

And up close of the dining cards that M_I_C_K_E_Y made! I figured this might make it easier to keep track of our credits. I know our plan isn't very confusing and Mom and Dad are on a separate room reservation so it should be pretty easy but my mom loves stuff like this to keep organized so I figured why not!

Hopefully I'll have a few more neat things to post soon!!

Joining in! :goodvibes

I don't think your LGMH looks bad at all, you did a good job! I got to get started on mine also!

It looks like you have a great trip planned! DBF and I were in a similar situation, with a low income- I had to figure out some way to get back to WDW- we're finally going in August, a year in the making!

Can't wait to read more... :thumbsup2

Love your homemade LGMH! I always just used the Mickey head paint chips from Home Depot....that reminds me that I need to go pick some up!

I LOVE the dining cards!!! I used one on our last trip and I have mine all set for our upcoming trip. I also have them made up for my clients (I'm a Disney TA) and they love them. They are so helpful!

 :worship: These look great! (ahem) I may have to steal the dining card idea too ... looks much easier than my mega-size sheets of paper with all our plans and ADRs on them LOL! Love the L&T bag too ... yep, if I'd seen that, I'd have purchased it also. :teeth:

It's just card stock (thicker paper) from Michael's. It was like 60 cents for a sheet. You could easily use one sheet to cut out two.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone!! :flower3: And Dancegrl624, I don't think Home Depot has the paint chips anymore, unless you've got a stash!

Ah! Those dining plan credit sheets are SUCH an awesome idea! This year I don't think I'll end up having a problem, but last year with 4 20 somethings, the snack credits seemed to be dissappearing and no one knew where they went!

I also love the LGMH, I'll probably end up making a few for myself!

 Yeah, like I said, I think we would be okay, I just thought since my mom and dad don't even have the slightest idea how the dining plan works, this might be a good idea for them!

I promise another update is coming soon, and I actually might have some pretty cool news about adding a few days to our trip!! Not at Disney.. but at our favorite beach Matt and I have been to every year in September, Daytona! :woohoo: Stick around!

And awayyy we go!!

Sooooo it looks like Matt just can't stand to go to FL and not go to Daytona. We've been to Daytona the last two years in September and he just has to go again! I don't blame him. I adore going to the beach. We realized we were both going to ask off the rest of the week anyway so we might as well drive over there (only a hour) and stay for 2 days before having to return to reality!

SO it looks like we'll check out at CBR on Thursday morning ( :sad1: ) and head on over to Daytona. I'm not sure where we're staying yet because I'm waiting on my parents to let me know if they're coming too. See, originally we were all riding down together, but my parents don't really want to spend the extra money to go to Daytona (plus 2 extra days of boarding their dogs), so they might drive down in their truck and then head home after Disney while we head to the beach.

I'm hoping we'll eat at the Hawaiian Inn on Thursday night (and possibly stay there as well). They have a cool Hawaiian style family dinner. Think the Luau dinner you can book at Disney. Pretty much the same thing!! They even call it the Ohana Luau! :woohoo:

Daytona-Hawaiian-Inn-photos-Hotel-Wpp-Tonemapped-L.jpg

I couldn't find a good picture online of the dinner show, but you get the idea!

Then we'll most likely eat at one of our favorite local places during the day Friday, then maybe dinner at..

Daytona2011070.jpg

I said last time that I didn't wanna eat here again because it was $80 for the two of us for just a normal meal, and one drink each!! :scared: However, Matt likes it and says, it's fine. Whatever, the trivia is fun and the atmosphere is cute.

We'll probably play some mini golf..

Daytona2010017-1.jpg

and then hang out at the beach!

Daytona2011049.jpg

THENNNN we'll head home. :sad1: Oh well, I guess all great things must come to an end!

We're heading to Matt's sister's tonight for a 4th of July party she has every year! We bought about $350 worth of fireworks so it should be a good time!! I'll post soon with my MUST DO's on this trip!!!

Oh no!!! I guess I haven't been to Home Depot in quite awhile...Lowe's is closer to my house so I go there when I need that sort of stuff. I have a TON of scrapbooking stuff, but not sure if I have any lime green paper. I'll have to go through my massive stash!

Okay, I finally got a chance to sit down and read everything, so I'm all caught up. Also? I'm a little freaked out!! I think we might secretly be the same person.

We already knew we would be at CBR at the same time. We'll also be at MK Sat., Epcot Sun., and DHS Tues.! We had a lot of our Disney fund spent on teeth, too--unfortunately, that was mostly me:rolleyes:. Plus a lot of money is going for Brynn's medical bills. I figure that at least the Disney Visa gives you six months with no interest on WDW packages, so I'm going to go and have fun and not worry about it! Something else we have in common is dirt bikes! I grew up on a farm and used to ride all the time when I was a kid. It was pretty much the only way to get around the fields quickly! I haven't ridden in years now, though. Funny that you said that you met Matt and pretty much moved in--that's EXACTLY how it was with Brandon and me. We have not spent a night apart since the day we met. I guess when you know it's right, then it's right!

A few posts up someone was talking about the turtle at Coral Reef. I actually talked about that in my TR from 2011! How funny! I guess I'm not the only one who freaked out and thought he was dead:rolleyes1!

We haven't been to Daytona in years. That's where my family always went when I was a kid. We always end up in Panama City now, mostly because I'm afraid that my children will get hit by one of the cars on the beach! I hear that there are sections now where they aren't allowed to drive on the beach, so I might look into that.

I love your bag and those dining plan cards. Such a great idea! I might have to steal that! As for the Home Depot paint chips, I'm not sure if they're phasing them out or what. One of the HDs in Canton has them, and the other doesn't. Maybe I should grab some before they take them out of all the stores!

Phew! Okay! Now that I wrote a book, I guess you figured out that I'm subbing.

Wow! We really do have a lot in common Fantasyland Mom! That really is crazy!! I figured the same thing about spending the money on the trip. I literally had ALL the money saved myself. Not including Matt's half. (we're going to split the Disney cost and then i'm sure he'll try and pay for everything else once we're their, including Daytona stuff, cuz he's like that). So needless to say I had more than enough saved, until that damn wisdom tooth! Oh well. Like you said, we're going to pay off that right away and then put the trip on the Visa to use the 0% interest for 6 months.

How about an update? Okay not really an update.. more like things I want to see/do/eat at each park! We'll start with Magic Kingdom since that will be our first stop on arrival day!!

I know I'll be using a snack credit on one of these bad boys!!

DoleWhip.jpg

I love almost ANYTHING pineapple, so I'm sure I'm going to LOVE the Dole Whip! I think I'm going to try the float, and probably the pineapple/vanilla swirl!! :cloud9:

As far as rides, we'll probably ride almost anything EXCEPT mad tea party and astro orbiter. I get really bad motion sickness, and while I take meds to help with it, going around and around and around for a few minutes just doesn't do it for me! :crazy2: I MIGHTT ride Dumbo to check out the new queue and everything. We'll see!

We skipped a few things in 2010 that I wanna see this year, or things i've never seen period..

Stich's Great Escape (skipped in 2010, and never seen)
CoP (skipped in 2010, and never seen)
Enchanted Tiki Room (Closed in 2010)
Small World (Skipped in 2010)
Philharmagic (Skipped in 2010)
Jungle Cruise (Skipped in 2010)

We did pretty much all the other big attractions in MK and I plan on trying to do that plus all the stuff listed above! I hope we can squeeze it all in!!

On to Epcot!

One thing I definitely want to do here is Pick a Pearl!

pickapearl.jpg

I think the pearls are so pretty and I really like the gamble! :rotfl: I can't wait to see what I get! I'm not sure on the setting i'll pick out yet, maybe a ring? I don't want to get a necklace because Matt bought me an amazing diamond necklace for x-mas that I always wear on special occasions so I want to keep that necklace as my special one. I don't have any rings I wear so I'm thinking that will be cool if I can find something tropical looking, or Mickey themed even!

Test Track will be closed on our trip unless they finish it up ridiculously early and we get some crazy early soft opening!!! :genie:

.....

Okay, okay.. I know.

We love Spacheship Earth so that's a must...
along with..
Captain EO
Mission Space
Journey Into Imagination
Grand Fiesta Tour
Maelstrom
Soarin'

and mostly touring the World Showcase! We love Japan and looking at all the cool little snacks they have!
Daytona2010057.jpg

Daytona2010056.jpg

Yummmy! Little toasted fishes and crabs! :rotfl2:

I've never done Ellen's Energy Adventure and hear it's about 45 minutes... If I think we have that kind of time to sit and do it we will but otherwise it's a skip again.
Also never been in Innoventions. Might go in there to check it out this time also but probably won't be a big chunk of our time.

We have an ADR for dinner at Coral Reef here and we're hopefully going to try Sunshine Seasons and/or La Cantina de San Angel!

Anything else I'm missing at Epcot?

Are you actually going to eat the freeze-dried fishies and crabs??? Please let me know how they are if you do:rotfl2:!

You're covering pretty much all our favorite Epcot places, except we did spend quite a bit of time in The Seas last trip before our Coral Reef ADR and had lots of fun. Even if you don't have kids, a quick trip through Nemo and looking on at Turtle Talk (just listening to the jokes and kids!) can be lots of fun. We went upstairs and enjoyed the exhibits, as well. World Showcase is definitely what we love best, though...I mean, besides Soarin';).

Okay, maybe a Grey Goose Slushie is what I love best...
