Hi All,
Well, MS finally gave us our Membership number, and we have booked several days in October. Woo hoo! Now, I have one final question-LOL.
I will be there from Oct. 9-21; however, I will be unable to go to the parks until the 14th. My mother and 2 of her friends will be coming with me and staying Oct. 9-Oct. 14. Starting Oct. 14, I will be able to go to the parks. My mother and her two friends will be replaced with my spouse and another couple. I was unsure if my mother could pass off her ticket to my spouse and her friends pass their's off to our friends. As I recall, people on here have suggested the Unlimited Magic passes if people are going to be at Disney > 8 days. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Lance

I am not sure what you mean. If you are not going to the parks until the 14th, why would your mom and friends have passes to pass on to your spouse and the other couple? If your mom and friends don't want to visit the parks, then don't buy any passes until the others arrive and then get park hopper plus tickets for 6 or 7 days. If y'all then decide to skip a day at the parks, the unused portion of your ticket is still good for a later trip. I, for one, always get park hoppers (unless I get an AP), instead of the Unlimited Magic Pass, because I don't need all the UMP offers, and they expire at the end of the trip (which hoppers don't, if unused). Hope this isn't confusing! Have a great first trip as DVC members! I joined in 94, have added on three times since and have never regretted it.

For yourself, if you are going to be there for 13 days, I would get an annual pass. For the others, the hoppers are best if they are there less than 8 days. Length of stay passes can only be purchased for the entire length of your reservation with the first and maybe last day removed. No tickets are transferable, but the hoppers could be used by different people on different days.

I'm not sure if this is what you are asking, but you can not buy a length of stay pass (UMP) that would be used by one person the first week and then handed off to a different person for the second week. Even though you would only have three people using those three passes at a time, each person has to have their own pass. Sorry!
